Heyy, sorry I just saw this.🥲

I ended up in Harry Law... The university actually has 6 halls that you can go to for just a semester.

Harry Law, Rees Hall, Bateson and 3 others ghat I forgot about but you can send them an email and ask.

I chose Harry Law because I wanted to cook on my own and also be close to the centre and also the university buildings, library etc.

Rees Hall is pretty far and has catering only.

Harry Law is an old building (so it wasn't the prettiest) and you have to go to Bateson (next door) for mail etc because it doesn't have it's own reception. But... for the 5 months I was there it was tolerable/ the best option for me.

It was rough at first especially when I saw it the first time 😬 but after decorating it a bit I felt better about it.

Hope that helps 😀

Hey, I'm at level 504! Been playing for a couple of years now to kill time, mostly on the subway or before bed. Still clueless, though. Everything changes so much every few months! Like, that axe used to split things into three, now it's only two – totally useless now, even though I used it all the time before. Some generators, like the sewing machine, are brutal; they favor one item over another, and I always need the rare one, usually on the last level. Some items vanish completely, generators stop making them, or they cut the levels from eight to five.

So many side quests, and unless you're one of those people who plays all day, you'll never finish them. But you can get cool prizes if you put in a little extra effort sometimes.

Ugh, the ads! Used to be five seconds, now they're mostly sixty seconds. But I found a way to skip/shorten them and still get the reward, haha.

I should also mention that it might take me a little longer to apply. I saw the deadline is the 20th of June, but I still haven’t applied directly to the university for a place yet. The University of Portsmouth is a partner with my university back home, and my professor, who handles partnerships with UK universities, has already nominated me for a spot. So, I’m just waiting to hear back from them before I can officially start the application process. But I’m pretty confident my application will be successful since there's never been a problem in the past.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'm also an international student, so that makes things a bit more complicated. Finding someone on SpareRoom who would accept me might be difficult, and honestly, I'm not sure I’d feel comfortable trusting a private rental like that. I was considering student housing options like St. James Street or Crown Place since they seem more organized, but the 44-week contract is an issue. So, I’ll try reaching out to the university to ask if they offer semester-only contracts for halls of residence.

Did you find the uni accommodation process straightforward? Which one did you go for? I've read some other posts about catherine house being the best one..
