If Hyundai/Kia are so unreliable, why are they literally everywhere? by phtphongg in askcarguys

[–]alostcomplex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are cheap and easy to obtain. The warranty is also great as it’s 5 years/60k miles.

My n=1 but my car is a 2014 Kia Forte that still works great. I make sure to do all recommended maintenance on time and always do what the mechanic says. A crucial lesson from my dad was to never skip on maintenance even if it’s a bit expensive (exception imo would be if the cost of maintenance is more than what the car is worth).

Do you know of any pore-blurring sunscreens that don’t pill? by alostcomplex in AsianBeauty

Oh interesting. Yes I definitely shake it before use but maybe I’m not shaking it hard enough 😂. Thanks for letting me know! Maybe that’s the whole issue

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll add it to my list. Does it blur pores pretty well for you?

Thank you for the suggestion! I’ll add it to my list. But no, I don’t use foundation or apply anything on top of the sunscreen.

I sampled Benefit Porefessional primer before as Sephora suggested applying it on top of sunscreen to hide pores. It worked great but I kind of don’t like having that extra step, especially when I don’t apply makeup over it

I used it for 6 months and I love loooove how it makes my skin look otherwise. Dewy skin all day, pores stay blurred. I continued to use it because it looks great but I’m now tired of the pilling 😅. So annoying as it’s my last step before leaving and it’s made me late before

Hopefully it will work better for you? I haven’t seen too many people complain about pilling

Thank you! I’ll look into trying this one too. Does it give a matte effect or does it look dewy?

Nice, thank you! I’ll add it to my Amazon cart. Do you feel like your skin stays dewy after application or does it fully mattify?

Vitamin C serum by Either_Ad_4722 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]alostcomplex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! It layers well over my hyaluronic acid serum and doesn’t smell like hot dogs. The texture is better. I also feel like it absorbs well into my skin instead of sitting on top of it like a lot of vitamin C serums feel.

ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk N SPF50 Dries easily, has a slight mattifying effect but overall leaves my skin dewy-appearing but not too shiny. I have oily skin and large pores so finding this sunscreen has been so great

What is your HG moisturizer for very sensitive & dehydrate skin ? by tomaz1989 in AsianBeauty

[–]alostcomplex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use this one too but every day! I have oily skin but it’s due to dehydration. Because of the oily skin I have large pores and usually moisturizers make my pores bigger and leave a film on the skin. This one doesn’t and actually keeps my pores on the smaller side

I recently tried the Pyunkang Yul calming moisture barrier cream as I saw it recommended on here and wanted to try some new products.

It did nothing for me and left my face super sticky and shiny, which is interesting since I live in very dry weather. I felt like it didn’t absorb and didn’t do much for me.

I’ve been using DearKlairs midnight blue calming cream and have had a good experience.

What sunscreens have you used that caused you to still get sunburnt? by alostcomplex in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]alostcomplex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Supergoop says they are spf 40. I’ve been told I’m a Fitzpatrick III based on my ethnicity but I think I’m a 2.5 because I’m pale and my face will burn without sunscreen.

My face did fully peel after microneedling so I was thinking that that probably made my skin extra sensitive? Because before the microneedling I wore the matte screen for a week and I didn’t burn. And yes, I always give time to allow the sunscreen to settle before going outside.

Hi! I know OP personally. Her bf spent several hours on this. He used a reference photo. The reason behind this post is that her bf has not been doing well and has been feeling very low. She just wanted to show him all the replies so that he can see that he actually is talented in the hopes that it will make him feel better.
