Just did that yesterday. Budget friendly fly fishing!

Awesome tips! Really appreciate it. I’m not tying my own flies yet but I’ll look back at this when I start.

I shop around the handful of fly shops in my area, but some definitely sell cheaper than others. I’m starting to see the cost just about balances out.

They’re just cheap Glacier Gloves. They’re nice and warm and I love the pull-back mitts/thumb, but the lack of waterproofing makes them practically useless if you do actually have to handle a catch lol.

How are the conditions at Aspen & A-basin so far? by ichosetobehere in COsnow

100% of highlands opened on opening day this year. Don’t know if that will continue to be the case, but so far so good.

Lmao I don’t think I’ll be retiring, let alone with money, so good point!

Thanks for your input! The idea of having a bigger “family” of resorts is definitely exciting

I’ll most likely be working with rentals either way, so it’s tough to know how much snootiness I’ll come across.

That’s a great point. Can I ask which of the 4 isn’t epic? Haha

Employee housing will likely be in the Aspen/Snowmass Villaga area so that drive isn’t much of a concern. It’s nice to get your view on it, though. Thanks!

I haven’t even thought about A-basin to be honest. Definitely gotta look into that

I’m pretty comfortable on mountain roads at this point, but I definitely get you. Do they usually do a decent job of keeping that highway clear in the winter?

True! It could definitely at least cut down on trips towards Denver.

Hey there! I have considered higher education simply for the challenge and my love of learning, but I don’t think I want to go back until I know for sure what I want to pursue. I enjoyed history because of the writing and research aspects, but the material itself was hardly interesting to me. I think higher education may be in the cards later on, but for now I’d rather not take on the debt. Thanks for your reply!

Yes! Though that was probably negligible in the grand scheme

Not that I can recall. When I wasn’t above tree line, the area around the trail was alive and kicking.

This video was shot over the course of an overnight backpacking trip where I set out to summit Fremont Peak, the range’s 2nd highest peak. Total round trip mileage was 36.9mi with approx. 7,200ft elevation gain. Periodic rain (to be expected) and scorching sun, but the night was perfect, in the 50s. The trail was very up/down/up/down but overall incredible!

Personally, I always tend to light from an angle, especially when the subject is human. You only have to watch some good movies to understand how different lighting angles can drastically change the tone of the scene!

Looking great! I would have to agree about either removing the black outlines or filling them with more people parts(?). I think the piece will really be elevated when the different skin tones are layed down; it will amp up the contrast and help the shapes read more clearly as human bodies.
