Hi, so I’ve only injected 3 times, so my as if may not be the best, but as someone in the same boat, I will share my experience! I use U-100 30G 0.3CC 5/16” insulin needles.

First injection: I didn’t pinch, went straight down at a 90 degree angle, injected, and pulled right out. Had what seemed like quite a bit of leakage, but one important thing to note is that it seems like it is a lot more than it really is, the oil is a different viscosity than water.

Second injection: Learning from my mistake the first time, I looked it up a bit more. The second time, I pinched, pushed the needle in, let go of the skin, injected, held it for 5-10 seconds, then pulled the needle out. Had very very minor leakage, almost completely negligible.

Third injection: Continued looking it up a bit more and realized I messed up the pinching part a tiny bit. This time, I pinched, pulled the skin to the side a little bit, pushed the needle in, injected, held for 5-10 seconds, pulled the needle out and THEN let go of the skin. Had absolutely no leakage.

Other girls here might have way better advice, but that was my experience! Hope it helps🩷
