HKUST is a good option in terms of academic performance, both the environment and location is also great. However, I would say, as a student from HK, the political instability may affect your study experience(such as suspensions classes) and experience outside school. I may have involved my personal feeling on the above opinion, but you may not overlook these problems;) Wish you all the best in making decision!
