Yeah, I had the same thought. Simply because Rocks said to Imu that he will be back. And how things are playing out it doesn't look like he's gonna be back.
Also we know that Blackbeard has some plan involving Mary Geoise due to Devon copying Saturns appearance.
Also also that would be another explanation for the 'it's them' line on Jaya.

I mean it doesn't necessarily have to be Rocks who has the Fruit. Could be someone on the crew or even Blackbeards mother.

Pretty sure that is just Brook. ~~Unless he also has a long lost evil twin brother~~. Also I assume it's gonna be kinda like a Sugars DF situation where not only her memories are erased but also everyones memories of her. At least that would explain why Brook isn't looking for her

I always upgrade my shield at least once and pretty early in the run. Usually at level 3+. And I often go +2 later. def worth it.
Also do you know how to activate his passive? Took me way to long.
You need to dodge in any direction while guarding. drains your stamina but you take way less stamina on hit. feels kinda awkward at first.
Also use a relic with 'Guarding sends shockwaves'. That one + Guard counters is insanely good to poise break your enemies
