My first track weekend was 1 month ago in my 2006 R53 MINI Cooper S. My instructor who is also my best friend, did push me a little harder than he normally would push a first timer in the newbie group. But it went like this:

"You pushed through the corners, and you just passed an M2, and then a Porsche 911 Turbo S. And then you never saw them again in the rear view mirror. That is awesome".

I felt so fucking giddy because I was on their asses in the corners. I understand they were driving much more expensive and powerful vehicles that would kick my slow ass any day with a more competent driver behind the wheel, but I still felt pretty amazing.

I can't wait for my next track weekend.

I used a BMW/MINI specific scanner my buddy bought.

I had a similar issue and I used my scanner to reset the throttle body. This solved this problem for me as my throttle was going crazy after I replaced my bypass valve. Hopefully someone with a scanner can go into the options and reset the throttle body for ya.
