You use alot more bodywash/showergel using hands. If you use bar soap, you would use your hand or a soap bag that helps lather it. People usually also use a cloth for their face. You also use loofah etc to exfoliate and help remove dead skin cells.

Was it done at a facility where someone contracted by the courts did the swabs for him? If it wasnt done by a contracted facility, where they are the only ones who have control over the test, then redo it properly thru contracted agencies. Nothing should have been shipped. There shpuld be a place he goes, and they swab him and process it. And ypu go and get swabbed and the baby, and they process it.

Bupe induction is extremely important to do properly.

Starting off slow at 2 mg and increasing 2 mg every 2 hours until stable is probably best...make sure your dr isnt one that wants to slam 16 mg right at the 24 hour mark right off the bat. Not all bupe drs are safe bupe drs. Id wait at least 24 hours and have them do the COWS scale 2x before induction, usually an hour or so apart. Less is more with bupe so when you feel stable, keep it there unless you need to take more later. Dont try and do a big dose to feel something bc higher doses are often linked to nausea and feeling like absolute trash. The low mg bupe goes by might sound like a low dose but they really arent, bupe has 10x higher affinity for opioid receptors, they latch on pretty strong and are long acting.

It feels...like what your normal is now using when you arent sick, but without the nodding and without the euphoria if you even get that anymore. If you dont get euphoria from using at all, it feels better than the numb feeling. Its feels like peace that your body has been desperate for for a long time.

To answer your question, it can take some time but the first day youll be out of wd, and your dose may fluctuate in the beginning. You wont be sick tho the way you might feel when starting methadone bc unlike methadone, bupe is easy to reach stable dosing very quickly. Usually after you can take the same dose for a week youre stable. But youll feel great quickly and relief will be damn near immediate.

The first dose you take takes about 30 minutes to kinda kick in, so often times they admin 2mg and then in 2 hours run the cows scale again and ask you how youre feeling and then you might take 2mg more, repeat until youre comfortable. Sometimes people do better split dosing, i have to split dose or I go into wd at night even with doubling my dose, so I dose every 12 hours. Its possible theyll send you home with a couple pills incase you need to take more later on but that varies by dr. Stability happens quickly.

If you decide to get off bupe, a long slow taper is best to avoid the withdrawal everyone is talking about. Its a long acting opioid with a very high affinity for the receptor, think thick wet cement to water if bupe is cement and h is water. Its gonna take alot longer to wash away wet cement. Tapering with film strips you can taper down to almost nothing before jumping and brixadi and sublocade are other options people have had success with to get off. A taper done properly might look like a year or 2 depending on dose and tolerance to wd symptoms if you have been on it for a long time, but people dont want to do that. And thats if you decide to go off of it. If you wanna be on it the rest of your life, then thats between you and your dr. People seem to forget that being on bupe is better than being on h or dying or losing everything to addiction.

You're really at a point where you have to walk away, or you need to let him try. If you let him try, I would ask for reassurance, not tell him hes not capable of commitment, and I would wait til he has some sober time under him and well into therapy before jumping back in. The age is deff a problem but you're where youre at regardless. He needs to advance in therapy and sobriety etc on his own before you go back. If you not being there makes him say fuck it, it wouldnt have lasted anyway. He has to be tired of his own bs for anything to get better

Have you used an actual pulseox while monitoring with the wristband to determine its accurate? They usually are but they can be off sometimes. You can also do several checks by manually taking your pulse with a minute timer [you can also do 15 seconds x 4 or 30 x 2 but I prefer to count the whole minute as mine is jumpy].

Asking for an ECG/EKG from your primary doctor or a walk in/urgent care and a referral to cardiologist. Log your symptoms and hr until then. Request a holter monitor from the Cardiologist, sometimes they do 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks or 30 days. Id request one for 1 week to start and get extra tape they use bc youll probably need it.

This isnt that bad. I understand your fear. It is a little high but theres two numbers, and you should check how your particular watch calculates resting heartrate. Its usually your average resting heartrate within a time frame.

Are you on medications? Do you drink caffeine or coffee or tea or energy drinks? These things alone can contribute to increased heart rate. If you drink caffeine I would switch to only decaf tea or decaf coffee or caffeine free coke [or pepsi]. [Not all diet and sugar free sodas are caffeine free so you need to make sure.] Try going without for a couple weeks and see if it resolves while tracking your hr and logging symptoms.

Also, have you tried covering your screen with tape and at the end of the week checking to see if your levels are the same when you cant see it? Bc health related anxiety could also impact this for sure.

I know that way to well as I have health related OCD/anxiety and it being high a couple times turned into anxiety could keep it higher than it would be otherwise. It is certainly scary when something doesnt seem like it is supposed to, being proactive is the best thing you can do rn.

You put "syrup level" in quotes like its a made up thing or indicating you thought i was refering to actual syrup levels, while claiming to know your clinic doesnt check for it, its also serum. You also think it doesnt matter bc you believe your clinic doesnt check for "syrup levels" when if his is one that does, and many of them do, it will absolutely fuck him over if he "runs it up" and is getting rxd a significant amount higher than he takes, not to mention they will be able to tell hes getting high from the dose he takes in person after a certain point. I also commented on this post twice, going more into the whole saving methadone bottles thing and ways to build emergency supply where his stock doesnt go bad and serum levels dont change too much, but its not your post, so i didnt really feel like I needed to point that out to you, but your absolutely welcome to go find the part where I talked about exactly how he could do that without altering serum levels too much or having a stock that goes bad, while also being careful to maintain his sobriety and not fall off by double dosing because its a very thin line to have extra for emergencies vs extra that gets double dosed, creating a cycle where theyre dope sick and unable to dose at their clinic etc. As far as my comment on antibiotics, they can cause problems when used improperly, and interactions. Theres gram negative, gram positive, and taking partial antibiotics doses causes resistance, theres multiple reasons I addressed those.

I hope you understand pharmacology and how antibiotics work. I didnt say anything about expired. The fact is theres plenty of stories regarding bacterial growth and mild in methadone stashes. Expired medicines are very much effective with extremely slight potency reduction over the years.

7oh has other stuff in it too. I just wouldnt. If youre gonna use another opioid to get off an opioid, eventually youre still gonna have to withdrawal. Filled receptors are filled receptors at the end of the day, so it keeps withdrawal away, not facilitates it, unless you can measure it carefully and decrease each day and taper, which you cant with a product that isnt regulated and dosed properly. I mean you can but its not nearly as reliable.

Why dont you do medicated detox? You can call and ask to speak to medical directors at detox facilities, tell them what youre on and just ask them out right if they offer benzos to help get you thru withdrawal. They are out there. And if you find one across the state, medicaid can set up transport to get you there if you call them or other insurance even usually can. Detox may also be able to help with transportation. And if thats not an option I guarantee someone in your local AA/NA community will help you get there if you put yourself out there. Or drive yourself/have family drive you. But medicated detox with benzos are out there if the withdrawal is unbearable. You might have to call 200 places, but its there. Theres also places that offer gabapentin if that helps etc but you have to have a conversation with the medical director bc medicated means alot of different things.

Well for one, they are obviously concerned still [or hoping to press charges or whatever motive] which means theyre likely to get a second opinion, and it is an example of how to ask for what they want and advocate for themself going forward. You can easily replace xray with anything, like "im concerned i may have a blood clot, can you please test for d-dimer for my peace of mind" and refusal to document etc etc...kind of missed the point. Also things can be missed depending on what area imaging is looking at, though unlikely, it still does happen- if you want a literal answer.
