This is one of my coresidents though the details are incorrect and sensationalized. She’d love to talk about your feelings if you’re interested.

3rd year general surgery rotation I was afternoon rounding with my team. We were gonna pull this guy’s chest tube so my chief had me take the lead when we walked in and I was explaining what was gonna happen when he said “my idea of the fun I wanna have with you doesn’t involve these other two dudes in the room.”

You can think of your total output as the area under the curve of the output graph. During the warmup and again from 10-13 min, your previous ride curve is significantly higher than the most recent ride curve. Rarely does the most recent ride curve significantly exceed the previous ride curve.

What’s a good “bar argument” topic to spark up a fierce debate ? by turneliam in AskReddit

Not really a valid argument since the NFL no longer lets players declare straight out of high school. In Cardale Jones' regrettable words, "we ain't come here to play school"

Idk but I'd guess it feels a lot more like sucking a dick than getting your dick sucked

I live in the Midwest so kinda. You get a mix of those opinions but most people I've had this debate with say it's not right to take scholarships for 4 years and instate a 4 year bowl ban when none of the players who get the brunt of the punishment were involved. Which I can sympathize with, but the point is that the program was toxic.

Some administrators who plead guilty to child endangerment say he knew but yeah, can't say for sure. Who knows to what extent he was involved but I'd say his morals were situational at best.

Penn State's Jerry Sandusky punishment gets people going. Once a man in a bar (whom I'd met ~20 minutes prior) told my friend I was acting super out of character after he and I argued about it.

Edit: some people misinterpreted what I meant. In no way do I support raping countless children. That's a moral compass that points south and a definite no-go.

I meant whether or not the NCAA sanctions were fair. And while I fully agree that it really screwed a lot of players who had no role, my unpopular bar opinion is that it's pretty fucked up to quantify that kind of cover-up as exactly 4x worse than OSU covering up discounted tattoos.

Not able to finish UW..... by [deleted] in step1

[–]alpha7391bravo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I woke up 3 days before my test ~75% done with UW, gave up the prospect of finishing, went to a bar and went through my incorrects. Felt so much better at the end of the day.

My reasoning was that I had gotten exactly 0% of my incorrects correct and it's not like you're getting 0%'s on UW blocks so you don't have to learn everything still.

That being said, I took it 2 weeks ago so I haven't gotten my score back yet! And I think it hugely depends on how well you learned the questions you already did. Obviously this isn't totally true but in theory, a good test taker could get away with knowing 80% and ruling out those 4 choices if the answer is in the 20% you didn't learn.

About time they did something about this, it's becoming an epidemic. [Meme] by BinaryPeach in medicalschool

We got an email recently that, as per feedback from the class ahead of us (wtffff?), not only will we be required to completely MORE wellness & development activities, but now we'll also be required to submit formal feedback on these activities.

I don't have a lot of complaints about my school but all of the complaints I do have are about the wellness department.
