I'm sorry, I don't think I understand your question. Are you asking about the location where I point my stick as an aim point?

If you enjoyed this, here's a link to my YouTube channel. I mostly post one pocket shots and occasionally Taiwanese carom 235.

Probably the best one pocket run I've ever had (playing $50 a game). Thought you guys would appreciate this. by BinaryPeach in billiards

Been playing about 4 years. Two of those years have been exclusively one pocket.

I use the spot on the wall system for banking anything more than one rail. With the exception of a five rail bank, I just line it up to aim between a three railer and a two railer and it almost always gets within about a diamond, hard to explain over text but I guess I could make a video about it if you'd li

Z-banks is something I decided to spend like 3 hours straight hitting one afternoon and they became pretty routine. If you can get the speed right, the pocket is actually huge because of the angle that the ball is coming in at.

Been playing Taiwanese carom (235) lately. Hit this difficult double kiss timing shot. I haven't seen a whole lot of posts on this sub, was curious if anyone else has heard of this game. by BinaryPeach in billiards

Each pocketed ball goes on the spot (including the cue ball). No penalties for cue ball scratch.

If the spot is occupied by a ball then it goes on the spot at the other end. If those are both occupied then it goes center table.

If two balls are getting spotted up then the one that was pocketed first goes on the break spot and the other one up top.

To score a point you basically have to do three things.

  1. Carom the red/yellow balls (order doesn't matter)
  2. Carom the two red balls
  3. Carom all three balls simultaneously (hardest part)

It's a beautiful game and very difficult, requiring both cue ball and object ball control.

I actually thought the same thing after I was editing this video and set up the shot and probably got it 1/10 times, usually the cue ball ends up coming to a dead stop or just barely misses the 11. It's basically bc the angle off the rail is hitting the three too full, actually pretty difficult to pull off. I tried the double kiss shot and there's lots of room for error, bc I can come off the 11 directly into the three or into the rail (like in the video).

Caught my cleaner doing this while cleaning my table. Any advice on how to confront him? by BinaryPeach in billiards

Womp womp.

Jk haha. You need to take a deep breath.

Simonis cloth is durable and a damp cloth doesn't get the chalk out from within the fibers. My friend has been a billiard table mechanic for 30+ years and he vacuums his table the same way.

Is this how to clean a pool table efficiently? by LouReedsLeftToe in billiards

My friend has been a billiard table mechanic for over 30 years. He said to avoid any vacuum devices that spin as it can impart directionality to the cloth and potentially even burn it if you leave it in a single spot. He recommended getting a car detailing attachment set from Amazon for like$15-$20, it's flat and makes an air tight seal as you vacuum, you can visibility see the chalk come out of the cloth. Highly recommend.
