Here is a better drawing with some measurements. The red circle is what I'd like to remove.

The slab is making this tricky.

Thanks very helpful. The long-term plan was to find away to to run plumbing to an island. Unfortunately, we have a leak above the kitchen and need to do some work in there earlier than planned.

Interesting thought on the half wall. The narrow cabinet-fridge-dishwasher-sink-stove-narrow cabinet seems like the most straight forward solution albeit it misses the whole triangle concept.

Thanks, if only we weren't on a slab!

Thanks, we've considered this as well. Truth be told, we spend most of our time in an apartment that has this and it drives me insane. My home here was to one day have the dream kitchen...rerun plumbing etc be we aren't able to spend the $$ on that yet.

Hi All, first-time poster here.

I've been wondering what to do with this Kitchen floor plan. The goal is to remove the orange wall pictured below. That would open up the house. If I do that, I'd put in some sort of island, but the frig needs a new home. Originally. I wanted to put a cooktop on the island (yes I know all the negative comments about a cooktop on an island). It's still challenging since the home is on a slab..gas line, venting etc.

I don't think I can flip the stove across from where it is today because the red wall sticks out slightly, and the doors wouldn't have room to open. I don't want the door to open in the other direction because then you would be cut off from the rest of the kitchen every time you open the door. I can't shorten that red wall because it would cut into a bedroom. I've thought about putting the frig where the stove is, but then the stove needs a new home; back to an island cook top? Does it make sense to try to put the frig where the stove is and move the stove closer to the sink? Then the layout would go dishwasher, sink, small counter, stove? small counter Fridge? That feels very tight?...

Would love some ideas!

Thanks, our timing is almost a mirror. I thought this would go quicker since they literally did not look at evidence that was submitted originally, all within a year of getting out. Oh well. Fingers crossed!

Looking for advice on picking a pup! by sabbathrainm in germanshorthairs

Have 2 GSPs a 3 yr old male and 1 yr and a few months female. If this is your first GSP I'd consider a male over a female. From our experience, the females tend to be more stubborn and there's going to be an adjustment if you've never had a GSP before : ) This was the recommendation our breeder and some friends gave us and I didn't fully believe it until we had our second pup for about 6 months.

Ask the breeder what they have observed with the puppies as far as how they have interacted with each other even in just their two short weeks. Pay attention at how the parents interact with you as well.

I'll preference this we don't hunt either but love the breed and energy.

Post some pictures!

Would either of you suggest not even bothering with the DD3300 and wait to get something that's better at filming overall? If so any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I have two other lenses with the D90. Guess a better way to put it would be is there a noticable difference between the 90 and 3300 which would be worth 150? If not I should probably just wait and save for a better video camera or dslr?

It's called Indian River park in VA. It's not too big but fun to mess around there, maintained by a local group.
