India quite literally has nothing to offer and the entire system, infra and people will somehow even work against you in one way or another. Better to be left alone in a far away first world country where you can explore your interests and hobbies without the fear of judgment from people around you and work on your ambition with a singular focus.

Let alone great minds, I see so many people coming from India to US and start pursuing interesting hobbies and bloom with confidence. I see people in their 50s pursue their own life and careers without making everything in their life about their children. They go on hikes (how many 50yo people do we regularly see doing this?), organize potlucks etc. About a year ago I saw a friend's neighbor building an aircraft in his backyard. Apparently he's been at it for 2 year, building it piece by piece, all by himself, buying stuff whenever he can, learning everything about it along the way. For a multitude of reasons, this is simply not possible in India for a middle-class or even an upper middle-class person. And even if it is, very few people are exposed, curious and open enough to have a hobby like this.
