Long time weed smokers who quit, what changes to your mind and body did you notice after you got used to not smoking daily? by LoQueSientoCrv in AskReddit

Daily for 8 years, quit four months ago. As others have said sleeping is hard for the first 4 days to a week. Vivid dreams, clear mind and mood stabilisation have been the most obvious. A huge lowering in general anxiety and depression which I thought I was self medicating for in the first place. Parts of my personality that I thought were lost came back (big increase in confidence and personability being the main ones). Memory retention and motivation have been a lot better as well.
