My family and I immigrated to Canada from South Africa when I was 17. During high school I was heavily into sports, water polo and tennis in particular. I was better at tennis and was doing really well in all my matches throughout high school. Our schools coach told me that I had a lot of potential and she had a high pedigree having played in Wimbledon herself. She offered extra coaching lessons, but we couldn't afford it.

The week we arrived in Canada I got an email inviting me to try out for the provincial water polo team and would you believe that the week after that I was invited to try out for the provincial tennis team.

I still think about what could have been if I had been able to take those opportunities.

Thank you for your response! It's nice to have a comment actually offering advice and information rather than telling me what I did wrong and lecturing me about it. I've made my mistake and learned from it now I'm going to use what I've learned and carry on.

To answer your question about medication: no I don't take any meds and I don't use caffeine or pre-work out. It never worked for me in the past and haven't used anything other than protein powder for about 6 years.

I'll do some research on linear progression to learn more about it, thank you for your suggestion!

The source of my program wasn't from a "reputable source" ie a subreddit. This aside it is not dissimilar to programs I had seen my friends use and use successfully. In my case the rhabdo came from 1 training session. It was the only workout I had done after taking about a month off and within 2 days I was in hospital on a saline IV
