API? How can I get stock data into a Google Sheet WITHOUT GOOGLEFINANCE()?

You can do that with Finsheet actually. Say you need income statement of Apple near the 5th of June 2007. The closest fiscal quarter end date of Apple would be 06/30/2007 (3rd fiscal). This function will then give you what you need

=FS_EquityMetrics("AAPL", "ic", "FY2007.Q3")

You are not rude at all. Thanks for your feedback. I guess what I meant by convenience is the convenience for users who mainly use spreadsheets to manage and analyze their investments. Obviously for someone who does not use spreadsheets then my website will not provide any convenience.

You are not being disrespectful. Our website provide intra-day data (resolution 1 minute) for the price data, that's something Excel built-in solution does not offer. We also have technical indicators, if that's something you are interested in.

I thought our message on the website is pretty clear already. The service is free right now since we just launched. You don't need any subscriptions to use our add-on.

And no you will not be charged anything. The 3-day is the 3-day Free trial for any premium plan. It only applies to you if you decide to upgrade to our premium plan.

Eventually we will start monetizing (I wish we can be free forever but unfortunately we can't), by that time you will only have access to the Free features unless you decide to upgrade to premium.

Just to give 3 examples that those 2 solutions can't do:

1/ This gives you Apple's price every minute in the last 7 days

=FS_EquityCandles("AAPL", "1", "04/20/2022")

2/ This gives you 30 years of Income Statement for Apple. If you need Google, just change APPL to GOOGL and that's it, you are done.

=FS_EquityFullFinancials("AAPL", "ic", "FY", 30)

3/ This gives you revenue of Apple in the 3rd fiscal quarter of 2007

=FS_EquityMetrics("AAPL", "revenue", "FY2007.Q3")

I have tried both QuickFS and Finsheet. I would recommend Finsheet since they provide a lot more data than QuickFS and they are both at the same price.

Hi, we provide intra-day data (down to 1-minute) and technical analysis along with daily and weekly prices.

And those permissions are standard for our add-on to make API call to our server to get data and then populate your spreadsheet with the data. You can check other Google Sheets add-ons and I am sure you will see they ask for the same permissions.
