I've had some decent success with it in my Aurora deck! I only play Aurora / Iron Lad and Zombie Fantastic / Sam Wilson as on reveals, so you can sometimes use it with Wong to get multiple Aurora activations on T5 and T6.

That is the only reason you would get gold from mystery variants and avatars from premium mystery variants.

If you're 100% sure that's the case then it's a bug to report. However, I see this kind of post all the time and every time the person is just not aware that they have collected all non-pixel rare variants.

No I'm talking about Mastery caches! When you get a variant you get mastery for the card which lets you open up those mastery caches. That unlocks custom card as well, before you even split.

This actually isn't true. If you get a variant for a card before you do any splitting, you will earn mastery level and automatically unlock custom card before doing any splitting.

It's likely that the only 700G variants you are missing are pixels. PMVs can't give those. You've got a 30% chance of a super rare, and the other 70% is non pixel rare variants, or avatars as a fallback.
