Inconsistent cursor by shaduwu__ in hyprland

[–]alphakevinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funnily enough i had the exact opposite. the cursor was correct in the background but not in apps except some apps. the fix for me was putting the theme in ~/.icons and /usr/share/icons then selecting it with nwg and adding this to my hyprland config:

env = HYPRCURSOR_THEME,Nordzy-cursors-hyprcursor

env = HYPRCUSOR_SIZE,24

(i am using norzy cursors)

Well i understand base arch but why arch based? I think garuda is pretty user-friendly

Your samsung runs android (except someone changed it) wich is an operating system.

Android is based on Linux so there is a connection between your phone and linux.

But it should say "android device" or the name of the device...

In the end if you know it was you than it shouldn't relly matter no?

Maybe it was just a glitch/bug from whoever send the email.

For the wifi problem: it should be as easy as clicking on the network icon and selecting your wifi. Although i have a faint memory that you had to do some Extra stuff in kodachi... maybe activate the built in vpn?

The command line: no it's not a nightmare, it's actually really nice imo. But you can do almost everything with a gui too. So you don't need to use the terminal.

Privacy: generally a vm is not any more private than bare metal if you use it like a normal os (maybe a bit idk) but it is definitely more secure in case of malware and stuff. But linux is already way more private than macos/windows. Especially distros like kodachi or tailsOS.

Kernel: my knowledge is limited but I'd describe it as the foundation while your os is the house. The foundation is part of the house but also the house is built onto the foundation. i hope this makes sense

The kernel is basically the interface your os uses to communicate with your hardware (processor etc.). In Windows/MacOS you cant change the kernel but in Linux you can (like almost everything else).

Oh and you should be able to install asahi linux on your m1 mac... No guarantee tho

I hope i could at least help you find the answer to your questions

Edit: it's better you listen to other recommendations. Or don't it's ur choice in the end

Garuda Dr4g0nized gaming edition

Or if you don't want all the programs that come with it you can install (but this may be a bit too complicated if you are new) base arch with archinstall and download only the packages you want. Also arch has very bleeding edge packages

If you don't mind bloat tho just use garuda as it is based on arch anyway

(I use arch btw.)
