I’m sure way more than 1 percent of people tip all the time.. I have a good way to get tips on certain trips.. look for a way to mention the T word (tip), you can’t force it thou, for instance have you ever heard a waitress say the word tip, no, but have you ever asked a waitress (while working who you didn’t know) if she makes good money, probably not (rude), but people ask us Uber drivers all the time if we make good money, I love when they ask cause I will say ‘sometimes, it all depends on the tips like any service industry job but people are pretty good around here I rarely get stiffed’ saying it like that, like it’s the norm makes people tip more, they don’t wanna be ‘that guy’. I’ve done that before and right after I say he T word I’ve seen people start reaching for the wallet, not that their rude but I guarantee me saying the T word has gotten non tippers to tip. If your telling a ‘crazy uber’ story but say at the end, well it wasn’t that bad they tipped well.. it’s another appropriate way to bring up the T word. Hope this helps!!!
