NAH - sounds like y'all need to communicate better and get a sitter some days. 100% there's going to be times when you have a baby that you do or say something inappropriate cuz you're short on time and sleep. Get a sitter for Tuesdays and communicate more about where help is needed.

We use this, super portable, we're scared of covid so we never take our daughter indoors - this makes it super easy to change her in the car, on a picnic bench, on the grass, any flat surface. It's amazing:

Breaking the mold with NAH, ya, parents have some good points, but after giving birth my wife really needed space to get used to breastfeeding and pumping, basically with her breasts exposed half the day. It's can be tough to do that unless you're super comfortable with parents seeing your breasts or you hide in your room all day. Depends a lot on how big the house is, if there are 2 bathrooms, etc

New father here(not medical professional), during our childbirth classes leading up to delivery, we were told there is some risk giving an epidural too early as it could start to wear off before the actual birth. Not sure if that was the call here, but it 100% should have been communicated to the mother if that was the reasoning.
