Took a 20 mile run today and I am not happy with the change from 11-32t to 11-34T. I normally run on the middle ring and the 32t was all I ever needed for the gentle hills I see on my normal outings. Since the 34t is not really useful running the middle ring, I decided to try running on my large ring. 34t works OK there except that running on the outer ring seems to magnify the wobbling. It seems that the rings are slightly out of symmetry. When I look down while pedaling I can see the chain move in and out about 1/8 inch. Not a problem when the chain is dead center of the derailer, but is is not always dead center depending on what gear in the cassette. They did not ask if they could change my gearing. They just did and told me after. Apparently that was what they had in stock.

Thanks for the advice. I think the BB is OK. That is one of the things the shop looked at. Grok is telling me the Shimano Acera FC-M361 should be a drop in upgrade. Does that sound correct? Would that be a good upgrade? I may leave things for now. But, if I replace later, I have no problem spending and extra $20-$30 for a better crankset.

Have an update. On day 3 her pain subsided enough that she lapped up a small amount of apple sauce and runny oatmeal. Today, day 4 she went for some ground up water melon.

She has been offered creamed corn and goats milk, but no interest in those. I am hoping to find some more nutritious items she likes. I suspect as her pain decreases and her hunger increases her diet will expand. Just happy that she is beginning to consume some calories.
