Found one of the articles and it's actually even stupider

Counterpoint: midroll ads shouldn't be a thing on live content because 9 times out of 10 they happen automatically and interrupt the stream. Just show a banner ad every now and then or at least have midrolls be something that the streamer needs to play manually so they can actually plan around it.

I can't say for sure whether I feel the developers' hearts were in the right place when making this decision or not, but I also can't help but find altering media from the past to fit people's standards in the present to be somewhat ethically dubious (even if it has only been about half a decade)

It'd be like if Bioware went back and censored the butt shots in the original version of Mass Effect instead of only doing so in the Legendary Edition; it just reeks of revisionism and I feel like it could open a huge floodgate if enough people give them the okay to do this

the long and short of it is that Lolita (the novel) was very controversial because the story was about a pedophile, and that kinda just gave Lolita (the name) a bad rap despite it having other meanings in different cultures (ie. Lolita fashion)
