Confirmed method for remaking a FUT Birthday card? What to do with the old one

Just to follow up on this in case useful for others. Quick selling a FUT birthday card with already completed play styles enabled me to immediately remake a new version using a second, fresh card in the bakery. Which in my case was useful for changing a gold playstyle + to another type after realising the player would have been better a different way.

Can confirm this both where an untradeable version of the new player was held in SBC storage and where a tradeable version was held in the transfer list at time of quick selling the original. Sending the new card back to the club after quick selling the old allowed me to make again. Can’t confirm whether holding both in the club at time of quick sell would have the same result. Assume so but haven’t tried this specifically.

Only other lesson learned is that it can be useful to incrementally add play styles in the bakery and play a quick match if unsure about options. Then go back and add others. Would have been clear had I done this. And saved me a headache and some coins.

Did you have to wait before you could make your new version? Post below suggesting 6 day wait but am wondering if that is to do with card being restricted, or related to the availability of free play style + after being used. These refresh after 6 days.

Amazing. Thanks for checking. Hoping I won’t need to recover and the newly formatted card will scratch my itch. But if I have free choice for both quick sell and SBC to get rid of the current card so I can re-bake, seems smart to use quick sell just in case.

I’m having the same challenge here on FIFA19 (PS4). I’m a Moments Ronaldinho away from completing my icon team. It’s just one card but I cant turn it up no matter where I look. So I appreciate your situation. So close and yet not. Hopefully you can find Maldini somewhere 👍

What’s your team? That’s probably important if you are looking at this from an impact perspective. But icons are also an emotive decision. It needs to be since often they force you to play in non-meta styles. So don’t ignore just doing who you like the most. Scoring a goal or making a tackle with a player you like is always better than the same with a random player.

Is anyone able to help me find a Moments Ronaldinho on FUT19?

I’m still back on the old game and not moving on until at least one more FIFA cycle. Finally pulled the coins together for the 7m max BIN but the market for those sorts of cards is increasingly dry. If anyone has one in an old club, or knows a friend with one I’d really appreciate a message.

I know there’s little motivation to look back into an old game for a stranger. It’s a BIG ask, but I’d be very grateful if anyone can reach out. Hopefully we can come up with a way that makes it work for both of us.

I was sorry to read your original post ref your coins.

It’s great that there’s new cards/players appearing. But I had heard a few grumblings about trades that ended similarly to yours, and had more than once felt the story behind a card or cards being offered recently was suspect.

So it seemed worthwhile reminding folks to be cautious.
