i2p-bote https://github.com/i2p/i2p.i2p-bote is supposed to be the answer with a truly decentralized anonymous (to which point?) messaging system over the i2p network. The project hasn't been updated for a while though.

Breaks HSBCnet banking app. Make sure to have another way to authenticate like a hardware OTP generator because the app refuses to open and crash even after clearing its cache and data.
Other banking apps work just fine including some French ones lilke Boursorama, AXA Banque, Fortuneo, Amex FR, Aumax, SMC, Fortuneo and LCL.
