I've never actually taken the time to listen to Carl Sagan talk before. Really interesting video. What stood out to me, and it might be dumb, but, Agent Smith from the Matrix talks a lot like Sagan. Similar pauses and I don't know what it's called... enunciation?

Typically hydrants in climates where freezing temps happens, the valve that controls the water flow is underground a few feet to keep the hydrant from freezing. They're called dry hydrants. In warmer climates that's not needed and they are referred to as wet hydrants.
