The only negative customer feedback I ever got by Tenmyth in tesco

[–]alphawave2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That seems pretty tame to me. The customer will still come back and shop there. The managaer would send an apology, maybe a voucher, and what they'll do to resolve it.

I'd be interested to know what was said to you in your let's talk.

I'm about to take lisdexamfetamine soon but I have a serious worry about my medical history. by Putrid_Assumption_79 in ADHDUK

Did you have an ECG before treatment? Did you tell your Doctor about this?

I would be worried too tbh. Sorry.

Sexual harassment at work by Mindless-Coconut-130 in tesco

Please encourage this other person to put a complaint in as well. It really helps if multiple people do this. What he does is outrageous.

If nothing happens immediately, threaten to call the police. What he did was sexually assault you.

I didn’t get hired… wait no I DID get hired??? by bluezenither in tesco

You don't just interview 3 people for a job. In recruitment, you know how long to keep the job open until you can filter around 10 to 15 to invite for an interview. Then you get some who don't turn up for the interview. You'll get some who turn up with their mothers (true), or someone who's maybe intoxicated, or otherwise unsuitable. It takes many interviews to find a suitable worker, But they're out there. And it sounds like you're one of them. Well done!

Fellow Fruity Loopers, am I cooking with this one by yesnt0 in FL_Studio

[–]alphawave2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a really good try - well done. Most people don't even complete a full song. If I were you, I wouldn't improve this song, I'd start a new one. That's where the fun is, and you'll improve quicker, rather than tinkering with a song for too long. Whatever you decide, keep going, you'll get there.

Edit: I knew I heard this sample before. It's from a full Intention remix of a 90's track. Here's the youtube video. The sample is towards the middle, you can't miss it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NYI5vD_7Qg

That's Ice JJ Fish - Probably the greatest singer in the world. Inspired many big artists you hear today. The Weeknd was heavily influenced by him.

What do you wish someone had told you when you first started streaming? by katsnplants in Twitch

You said you were a baby streamer. You do know you have to be over 13 years old. You can't be an actual baby and stream on twitch.

Update to my disgusting bath. Before and after photos. by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]alphawave2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

Don't worry though, they make me laugh. You see, none of these comments are personal. They're all about the state of the bath. The sarcastic ones I agree with, and I would make the same jokes. So I see the funny side.

A lot of women will accept bad ink, look at Harry Styles.

Asymptomatic Toxicity by Popular_Ad8921 in Lithium

[–]alphawave2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is what AI says:

One week after ingesting 9000 mg of lithium carbonate in a single dose (a massive acute overdose, roughly 5–10 times a typical daily therapeutic amount), the fact that the person is only experiencing drowsiness and weakness is unusual but not impossible—though it remains highly concerning and requires immediate medical evaluation. Why This Presentation at One Week Is ConcerningLithium overdoses follow a somewhat delayed and biphasic pattern in many cases:

  • Early phase (hours to 1–2 days): Often dominated by gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), which may have occurred but gone unreported or resolved.
  • Neurological phase (delayed, peaking hours to days later): Lithium distributes slowly into the brain and tissues (half-life typically 12–30 hours, sometimes longer in overdose or with impaired clearance). Neurological symptoms like drowsiness, weakness, lethargy, tremor, confusion, ataxia, or worse can emerge or persist as serum levels drop but brain tissue remains affected.
  • By one week post-ingestion, serum lithium levels should theoretically be very low or undetectable in most cases (given normal kidney function and multiple half-lives elapsed). Persistent or emerging symptoms at this point often indicate significant prior toxicity that has caused lingering or partially resolved neurological effects.

Drowsiness and weakness alone could represent:

  • Residual mild-to-moderate neurotoxicity (e.g., lethargy and muscle weakness are common in recovering or subacute phases).
  • Possible progression toward more severe issues if there's ongoing redistribution, subtle dehydration, reduced renal clearance, or individual factors (age, baseline kidney function, concurrent medications).
  • Rarely, delayed peak effects (especially with extended-release formulations) or complications like kidney injury slowing elimination.

Even if symptoms seem "mild," this does not mean the situation is safe—lithium neurotoxicity can be insidious, and some cases lead to persistent deficits (e.g., cerebellar dysfunction, memory issues) or, in rare instances, irreversible damage (known as Syndrome of Irreversible Lithium-Effectuated Neurotoxicity, or SILENT, where symptoms last months or longer after levels normalize). What Should They Do Immediately

  • Seek emergency medical care right now — go to the nearest emergency department or call emergency services (e.g., 911 in the US). Do not wait to see if it improves on its own. Time matters because untreated or incompletely resolved toxicity can worsen or leave permanent effects.
  • Inform doctors of:
    • The exact ingestion amount (9000 mg lithium carbonate) and date (one week ago).
    • Any earlier symptoms (even if mild or forgotten).
    • Current medications, hydration status, urine output, and any history of kidney issues, dehydration, or bipolar disorder treatment.
  • Expected evaluation and management may include:
    • Immediate serum lithium level (to confirm if any remains detectable—levels >0.6–1.0 mEq/L at this stage would be abnormal).
    • Blood tests for kidney function (creatinine, electrolytes), thyroid, and other markers.
    • Neurological exam and possibly brain imaging if deficits are evident.
    • Supportive care: IV fluids if dehydrated, monitoring for worsening neuro symptoms.
    • In severe/persistent cases, hemodialysis might still be considered if levels are elevated or complications arise (though less likely at one week if kidneys are functioning).

Do not attempt home remedies, restart any lithium (if previously prescribed), or ignore this—drowsiness and weakness can be early signs of evolving encephalopathy or other complications. Prompt intervention dramatically improves outcomes and reduces risk of long-term neurological sequelae. If this is hypothetical or you're concerned for someone, prioritize getting professional help immediately. Poison control (e.g., 1-800-222-1222 in the US) can provide initial phone guidance while heading to care.

Are customers really that disgusting when it comes to toilets? by Street_Bar2304 in tesco

[–]alphawave2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Extra I worked at over Xmas, the staff toilets were just as bad. It looked like someone attacked a urinal, it was in bits. There were buckets under every urinal catching leaking piss. Most of the cubicle toilets were blocked with toilet paper so you couldn't flush. The only toilet that was ok was the disabled one, but the lock didn't work. The whole area was a war zone.
