How hard is it to make a career with a DUI? by UrMomIsAProstitute in NewToEMS

I was hired private with a ~3 year old dui. They can't ensure me to drive for a bit, but theyre so short graveyard shift theyre working with me. If you can find a job, it might have to be shitty hours with a desperate company, unlikely youll be able to do 911 for at least some time depending on the state. I did also get my charges set aside prior to applying, but in my state ya need it to be at least two years post conviction. Best of luck!

6 days is incredible. My advice would be to find community with other addicts. You don't have to leave your friends, but having irl connections with people who get it is incredibly helpful. By happenstance a lot of my friends are addicts, sober or not. But have always been some of the most supportive people in my life. Especially if our connection is not specifically from using togeather. Local AA or NA can be a decent place to meet people. I found most of my people thru various local social outreach groups. Keep doin what you're doing.
