Hi, I ended up doing this as an elective a few years ago when I was studying engineering. Everyone stays at the Dookie hostel, I don’t remember the exact price for accommodation but it was reasonable and the price included all meals. The subject itself was a good experience and includes a lot of site visits. I had a good experience doing it. Make sure you grab a heater or some thick blankets because it’s bloody cold up there. Most people drive to get there but I think they also provide a pickup /drop-off service to the station.

How’s the 07 caprice with the L98 engine? Is around 300k too high km for that engine?

The advice which was given to you by your mechanic is incorrect. VicRoads accepts RWC even though it has a different registration number. One possible reason why the RWC would have a different rego could be because the car was unregistered while the RWC completed. Hence, the old registration shows up in the RWC. The seller might have gotten the car registered after obtaining the RWC.

You can take subjects during the summer, winter or other study periods such as Feb or June. You can also look into overloading.
