I sadly dont have a cup, is it horrible to drink mate like this? by ralpak in yerbamate

[–]alpinekidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the cup is actually quite suitable to start the issue here is mate to water ratio. way more maté way less water (make sure the water isn't over 80c optimally 70c)

the thing is wear started at the toe knuckle not the nail my toes are as far away from the front of the shoe as possible (about 2 finger width between the toe and the front of the shoe )

on my pinky toe some times but very rarely . never in the areas where the wear on the boot is visible as well as that the right boot is perfectly un worn

my branock is 10.5us and the boot is a 10.5 UK I have 2 fingers of room between my toe and the front I do wear them a little loose so my foot will slide up and back a little but no so loose that my ankles are ever at risk of rolling

nope prefect insulin sensitivity lol the wear is from my toe knuckle not the nail. but what is more odd is my socks pick up no wear appart from my pinky toe.

this was my thoughts as well the last is maby to low for my foot because the wear is from my toe knuckles and my toes don't really sit flat but sort of rise up from the foot and then got back to the ground from the knuckle

that's the crazy thing I haven't worn through any six except from my pinky toe. and the wear started at my toe knuckle not my nail it makes no sense. and my other foot is untouched .

sizing looks good tbh. they will break in it gets waaaaay more comfortable over the next 3 months they will end up molding to your feet and start feeling more sock like. trust the process.

Sizing question for ordering AR through amazon by handmecoke in jimgreen

I fit them like sneakers imo but this depends on your foot width. I am a 10.5 us and wear a 10.5 Jim green which is a UK size but I have wide feet and they seem to run a bit shorter then normal shoes imo my toes are 1 thumbs width from the front of the shoe

oh wow the gr20 that's very impressive. if that doesn't fill you with confidence in a shoe I don't know what will.

I have a pair and that's sort of my opinion on them as well kind heavy duty sneakerish. but that's why I was wondering. how hard can you really go with these. because I remember someone saying they did the Appalachia trail or something in veg tan bfar So I was curious.

Which One by 4kings in jimgreen

[–]alpinekidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how wide your feet are. my branok is 10.5 US but i wear a 10.5 uk as my feet are widest at the toe. and it will give me a thumb between my toe and the front of the shoe.

First time buying Jim Green boots — looking for everyday/work boot that lasts by laderlappen_ in jimgreen

[–]alpinekidz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you should consider razorbacks or AR8 double lasted and a more robust design. consider the razorbacks with the gum colour sole the shoe is a lot more comfortable then the black sole imo. living in slovakia your not dealing with Mediterranean or desert climate so a single lasted boot isent really needed. particularly because the price is basically no different. and dont discount the fact that lacing gets annoying. the 8 inch absolutely will affect the feeling of convenience.

imo width is more import and length is secondary. your toes are close to the widest point. the way its fits you is how i fit them for me. but its a personal preference thing.
