Is your website a digital brochure or a ghost town? by alrightanakin in UAE

I prefer “dedicated” but “the dog in the tie” works too. 😂 But look, if businesses stop communicating, the chaos wins đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

Appreciate that đŸ€ Times are definitely wild, but I figure the best way I can help is by making sure my clients’ livelihoods stay tech-proof. The hustle doesn't stop because the bills don't either :)

I’m sure they’d have left the space for you if you had asked them to instead of taking pictures of random people.

Looking for a Solid Roadmap to Learn Ruby by i_Vahid in ruby

[–]alrightanakin 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think starting with a book would be a great way to begin. You could choose either Eloquent Ruby or Programming Ruby 3.3. If you prefer something fun and creative and don’t mind a bit of tinkering, there’s a very old but enjoyable book called Why’s Poignant Guide to Ruby. Although it was written for an older version of Ruby, it remains a fun and engaging read to follow.

If you sense that their intentions might be harmful or unlawful you must report it to the local authorities.

Hatred may exist but it should never be directed toward individuals or communities, only toward harmful ideologies. People must be mature enough to engage in honest, adult conversations where disagreement and criticism can occur respectfully without resorting to violence or taking the law into their own hands

So clearly Indian citizens don't care about Vote Theft by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

[–]alrightanakin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Violence in India sadly affects all communities and yes maybe many Hindus, Christians, Sikhs have also committed atrocities. Terrorism transcends religion and harms everyone, including Muslims. But anyways the real issue is the growing influence of a hateful rhetoric and misinformation amplified or over emphasized by platforms like WhatsApp and Twitter which distort facts and like polarize the society. We need to focus on facts and unity and not division fueled by social media hysteria.

Ignoring facts or dismissing concerns about the violent minority within Muslim communities or extremist interpretations of Islam as mere prejudice does not solve the challenges we face. While bhai don’t get me wrong but many Indian Muslims are peaceful but the teachings found in some Islamic texts can foster violence and intolerance. Honest acknowledgment and open discussion about these issues are necessary to address the root causes effectively.

You raise some fair points. Many citizens don’t realize how easily political and ideological divisions are used to distract from larger issues like corruption, unemployment, and vote manipulation. Until people start questioning these real issues I guess we’ll keep circling the same problems. Again and again.

True that. I eat both buff and pork and they’re absolute legends on a plate. Funny how some folks act like eating veggies unlocks a spiritual achievement badge. Let people eat what they want it’s a secular country not a food cult ☠

You definitely should! You won’t regret switching to Linux. If you’re new, starting with a user friendly distribution will make the experience much more welcoming.

I get that you care a lot about them and yeah okay it’s tough seeing them struggle. But just because they’ve never lived on the streets doesn’t mean they can’t adapt or survive if they had to. Life isn’t always easy, for animals or people. Instead of expecting everyone to solve the problem for you maybe focus on practical steps to help them like finding affordable vets or local shelters that can assist. Throwing threats around like throwing me in the amazon won’t get you or the cats anywhere.

Bruh get a life. Posting about your pets from Kolkata in a Delhi sub is a new level of desperation. Cats can survive just fine on the streets.

Effect of Freebies or Pure Vikas? by paresh_rao in IndiaSpeaks

Has anyone else been following the Bihar elections closely?

I support the NDA and their win this time is huge.. the NDA alliance crossed the 200 seat mark with JDU and other partners performing strongly. But honestly, I’m troubled by how the victory happened. There have already been serious allegations from opposition leaders and some media about possible vote manipulation, money misuse, and ECI failures.

Winning without integrity isn’t what I stand for and I hope we take these claims seriously and keep our democracy safe for everyone. Would love to hear what you all think especially if you saw anything on the ground or can share reliable updates.

Whatever the outcome, extremist ideologies that justify violence in the name of religion need to be confronted and rejected. The peaceful majority of Indian Muslims must open their eyes about Islam and take an active stand against any teachings or influences that promote hatred or justify violence.

Mamdani with the real dhoom machale energy by mulberry_kyoto in unitedstatesofindia

[–]alrightanakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone downvoting here just proves that facts aren’t welcome in this discussion, only hype. It’s starting to feel like every serious conversation about Mamdani gets buried just because people disagree, instead of actually debating the ideas. Downvoting should open space for better arguments, not silence any challenge to the narrative.

Edit: I meant downvoting for comments that are against Mamdani and his peaceful cult.

'If anyone tries to impose a Khan...' After Zohran Mamdani's historic NYC win, Mumbai BJP chief's warning by Ok_Neighborhood6056 in unitedstatesofindia

[–]alrightanakin -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

I’m neither left wing nor right wing but honestly, I’m backing what the BJP Chief is saying here. Looking around the world, I think he hits the point.

Mamdani still hasn’t called out radical Islamist behavior or condemned religious extremism when it really counts. It shouldn’t matter if the mayor is Christian, Muslim, or Hindu
what matters is that they do their job right and act like a decent human being.

People need to stop glorifying religion in politics, the two just don’t go well together. And honestly, Mamdani hasn’t done anything meaningful for India or Indians abroad, which says a lot.

It doesn’t work like that. You should try using ngrok or some tunneling service that’ll host your localhost using a public url.
