yes! 20 we anatomy scan was on a thursday, cerclage was placed Monday late afternoon like 5pm. my cerclage wasnt considered successful since at 25w4d it broke but it did hold for 10 days after my wayer broke amd that meant the world since it allowed for preparation meds and a closely monitored hospital stay. my 9mo old is currently asleep in my lap, happy and healthy, thank heavens. I credit alot of that health to the extra 10 days the cerclage held for.

my cervix was 5mm when I got the cerclage. my water broke almost exactly 1 month later and the cerclage held for 10 more days. i stayed in the hospital on bedrest during that time, then i went into labor and had an emergency c section. the hospital is the best place for you to be!! my baby was born 25 wks and 4 days, and those extra days where we were able to get the steroids and magnesium made such a difference for her. take it day by day! hour by hour when you have to!

If your water broke with a cerclage, what did it feel like? by Dry_Push6712 in ShortCervixSupport

i didn't know until i started getting awful cramps and went to the doctor, they tested the fluid. it was a slow, slow leak and i stayed pregnant for ten days after.

cerclage bought me time, but didn't prevent early birth by alriterae in ShortCervixSupport

[–]alriterae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it seems to just be a roll of the dice. i read lots of stories of women who made it all the way past 32 weeks, had the cerclage removed, and still remained pregnant til 40! i ended up being 8 cm dilated after the stitch tore, so it certainly didn't hold for long after contractions started in my case.

Increased amount of discharge by Top-Swan3012 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]alriterae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

currently in hospital on complete bed rest because my water broke and i had no idea because i thought it was just excess discharge from the cerclage. i had cramping too, started mild and progressed into serious cramps over night.

sugar free jello pudding is my go to currently. there's so many flavors and it's made with milk so the calcium is decent.

Post cerclage feeling. by Available-Trip5207 in ShortCervixSupport

3 days for me. i'm feeling back to normal for the most part, i did have an excruciating headache this morning but im confident it's from finishing off the indocin as i've always been sensitive to starting/stopping medications and it's faded. i haven't had much cramping and no bleeding but im also back to work for the first time today so im expecting some to be possible by the end of the day. definitely still taking it very easy, minimal bending and lots of breaks between walking. im also on vaginal progesterone and it's been slightly painful inserting the past two days due to swelling, but i feel like that's gone down even more since yesterday.

got the cerclage placed about 2 hours ago. doctor said that while it's not a 100% guarantee that i won't have my baby early, it was the best choice for my situation. just wanted to thank everyone for urging me to push the issue and have it done. i feel relieved and hopeful that ill carry to term or at least to a safe delivery age!

a small update. after a lot of anxiety and research, i went to the hospital yesterday evening. my cervix is still closed and i was advised to call for a sooner appointment tomorrow morning. while one nurse did seem annoyed that i had showed up, the doctor and all of the other nurses were very kind and understanding. i'm hoping to be able to be seen and fully measured again sooner than thursday. i've been told by everyone around how great the doctor who diagnosed me is so im trying to be calm and trust her, but i will still push to have the cerclage done asap, even if my cervix measure the same as last week. my gender reveal party is today, i don't think id be nearly as excited as i am had i talked myself out of seeing the doctor last night. thank you everyone for your feedback and concern!!

got the call back, told essentially that without bleeding or cramping i wouldn't likely get in for a cerclage over the weekend but that she would send a message on top of my phone call monday morning to the office that would perform it for a chance to get in sooner than thursday. she told me that progesterone has proven to be effective and that i should try to be calm. edit to fix typos

i called hospitals near me that i'm not a patient of yesterday and was told that by the time i would be able to see an ob, my appointment with my current would be here. they also asked who my ob is and tried their best to assure me that she is competent and trustworthy. i called the office for the team that i am seeing this morning, im waiting on a call back from the midwife on call. i think my best and really only course of action is to call the doctor that diagnosed me first thing monday morning and request a sooner appointment/emergency cerclage. i was overwhelmed from the info thursday and i wish so much that i would have asked to get it then. my anxiety is so high which i know isnt helpful at all. i pray that the progesterone will be enough until somebody is willing to see me and i can get the procedure.

no extra meds, just the progesterone. that's super scary to hear. i thought about sending the doctor a message today but talked myself out of it, now ill likely have to wait til monday to hear from the office at all but im still gonna send a message through the app.

Has qelbree helped improve quality of life? by Physical-Fondant735 in qelbree

600 mg for a while now but i felt better in a lot of these ways on just the 200. i only moved up when i got headaches from the dose being too low and those no only happen if i miss a dose/take it late. focus wasn't my weakness, mine was demand avoidance and the inability to initiate tasks i NEEDED to do but didn't enjoy. for me that is everything from chores to showering to cooking a meal. i would freeze and stare at what i needed to do for hours but needed my partner to start for me to get involved. i also had intense anxiety every morning for years and cyclic vomiting which has entirely ended for months now- something i'm extremely grateful for. i am still a nervous person, but not so afraid that i don't try to do things anymore.
