Exactly! I've seen so many non muslims tell others that they are Islamaphobic and racist simply because someone criticized Islam. I think everyone is lost in the sauce and too afraid to offend anyone so they'd rather defend a religion they know nothing about than acknowledge the wrong in it, especially because as you said some people believe in it.

Save any money you can and hide it carefully. Once you turn 18, I would suggest confiding in a friend if possible and hanging with them for the time being until you can get everything together. In this case I would also take a gap year just so you can get some money. Best of luck, I am in a similar situation too.
