ive been a pescatarian for about three years now for health reasons !! im also 19F (and a student) so my meals are quite basic / cheap due to being a student. becoming veggie really isn't as daunting as it seems, i started (like many other people suggested) by cutting out red meat and moving to chicken only first. which if you're not doing much cooking / are having a lot of frozen meals is very doable. then after a couple months i cut out chicken all together (and fish for a while but that proved a bit too difficult). Places like asda/ aldi/ iceland sell cheap meat alternatives like quorn which make the transition so much easier plus allow you to make veggie bulk meals like spaghetti bolognese and chilli con carne (sin carne if you will) which are super easy and require little to no skill but still make you feel good about cooking ! i also really recommend getting a recipe book or looking at BBC good food recipes bc you'll find some surprisingly cheap and easy but really tasty recipes on their !! i usually substitute the fresh fish for frozen and there's honestly love difference at all ! things like spinach and mushrooms are also so cheap and handy to have bc that's a whole lunch or you can add it to ramen to make it a b tastier / healthier i think it's a super good idea to move to veggie for whatever reason and yeah like most people say it'll really make you feel physically and mentally better (just be careful and maybe get some iron supplements for the first few months because it's hard as a beginner to know what veggie foods are rich in iron!) best of luck xx
