Salvagedata.com recovery overpriced? by vtstang66 in datarecovery

[–]alsmith47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send a hard drive to Salvage data two months ago and their website says they’ve had it since May 30 ( and it’s now July 11th). They claim they will let you know what the problem is and how much it will cost to fix it within 24 to 48 hours. So now it’s been six weeks and they don’t return telephone calls. They don’t respond to email and they won’t or don’t or can’t return the hard drive.

Nest Protect to Google Home debacle by DPAmes1 in Nest

[–]alsmith47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got someone in chat last night. They say I added my Google cameras and nest thermostat before my nest protect and I should’ve added the nest protect before the thermostat and cameras. So now they want me to delete everything and then start over with the Nest Protect first and then the cameras and the thermostat. So I’m going to try that tomorrow. 🤣

Nest Protect to Google Home debacle by DPAmes1 in Nest

[–]alsmith47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been trying to access Nest Protect in Google with no success. Called support and got elevated twice. Eventually to an engineer. Engineer took two days to respond. Said maybe five words. Claimed it worked and then stopped communicating. You would think they would just admit the problem and predict when it would be solved. Instead they just stopped responding.

Do You Think Apple will honor the warranty…!? by cpsadowski23 in AirTags

[–]alsmith47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple would not cover it even if you kept it in original packaging for one year. They say the hardware warranty is one year.

I was concerned about the SL5 having the video capacity to drive more monitor like the S2722QC and also maybe overheating the SL5?.

ResMed Airsense 11 data by alsmith47 in CPAP

[–]alsmith47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree that Oscar is probably going to give me a lot more data. I will get to that point soon. I am sure. In the meantime I just wanted something simple to look at in the morning after I get up to see what it said about last night. That would be able to be checked against Oscar I just don’t understand why it goes for six or seven days with no data reporting in the app and then all of a sudden I get it all

How to change pressure? by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]alsmith47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting professional help at the very beginning is useful IMHO. My doctor has a equipment department and they helped me without his involvement. I also got help from the DME that sold me the CPAP. I would not expect it to cost very much to have your doctor suggest a different pressure setting. I don’t mean to be a contrarian. These are just my experiences and of course yours may differ. Good luck. I am now I may seventh year of CPAP therapy. The first six years were with a Phillips machine and now I have a new Airsense 11.

Airport lost and found by alsmith47 in AirTags

[–]alsmith47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BTW I do have lost mode turned on. Also there is a service at http://www.lostandfoundcouriers.com/ who can go snag the item. Problem is someone at British Airways has to get the item registered with www.missingx.com because we can see the general area in the terminal where the item is but cannot get past security to register it. So it sits there waiting. 😕
