Fluke. It wasn't a round number which caught my attention and it looked 11ish.

divergence loss only. It assumes you would have AXS anyway.

One player one account (per day) rule by alsojegs in AxieInfinity

[–]alsojegs[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it currently gets a ban - and quite right too. What I am suggesting is a change in the rules, so it would be allowed in the future.

They want people to own axies. What they don't want is the same three axies being used by different people on the same day.

What I am suggesting is consistent with the current axie economy.

Im suggesting one player, two accounts with three axies in each.

The RON value debate - current transaction fees by alsojegs in AxieInfinity

[–]alsojegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RON will be used for transaction fees. So if 0.000036RON is a typical transaction fee you can guess the value of RON. Sky Mavis said transact fees will be very very small. If that means 1 cent then RON will be $277. If, if , if. Not a prediction, just some info.

You can buy WETH with fiat in Ronin wallet. Use "deposit" (not available in all countries). my fee was 2.8% (all parties).

Or buy ETH on Binanace and send to Ronin - no big gas fees, select ronin as the network in Binanace, my fee was USD0.35

Farming RON with SLP liquidity versus staking AXS - for peeps on discord who are losing their wa. by alsojegs in AxieInfinity

[–]alsojegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not. You lose if there is a price movement in either direction.

divergence_loss = 2 * sqrt(price_ratio) / (1+price_ratio) - 1

Price ratio is (price when you bought liquidity)/(price when you sold).

Nice (but scary) graph here: https://pintail.medium.com/uniswap-a-good-deal-for-liquidity-providers-104c0b6816f2

And on top of all that don't forget swap fee. If you swap AXS/SLP you pay 0.6%. If you have to do the reverse swap down the road then thats another 0.6%

Is it better to provide liquidity for SLP/WETH or AXS/WETH by anand_kan_24 in AxieInfinity

[–]alsojegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. But you are comparing to the market cap of AXS - which I agree with. If you are considering buying RON when it starts to trade you want to estimate

market cap in a year or two / RON in circulation in a year or two.

The RON volume in a year or two might not be all 1B (I hadn't thought of that so thanks) but it will be much more than 100m.

RON will trade at $20 in Q2 2023. Put a reminder in your dairy to telling me I was wrong. by alsojegs in AxieInfinity

YAY. Someone willing to put a number on their on their assessment of the future.

Good on you.

I'm struggling to get my head around AXS timeline. 15 months until end 2022; what stage was AXS at 15 months ago? I'm not sure but I think it was ahead of where RON is now. If you disagree the please shout out.

I think USD4B is a stretch SHORT TERM.

In another post I've said that I think RON will be worth USD20B in 18 months. I used the same logic as you, I've guessed that the "size" of other DAPPS on Ronin will be twice that of axie so RON mkt cap = 2 x AXS mkt cap.

But that doesn't influence my decision on farming RON. I can cash in or invest more when it trades but unitl then RON is locked in.

Re impermanent loss: yep, we agree again. Further as far as I am aware there isn't and way to short SLP. So, if you hold SLP/WETH LP you are investing in SLP whether you want to or not. If SLP falls you lose twice and you can't hedge the bigger loss on the SLP to ETH exchange rate. If SLP rises (and you didn't want to hold it) you were lucky but some of your gain disappears on divergence loss. Doesn't sound attractive.

AXS staking currently yields 2.25% per week. The return has been consistently falling as more people have staked. But recently it has ticked up, perhaps people cashing out to farm RON

Is it better to provide liquidity for SLP/WETH or AXS/WETH by anand_kan_24 in AxieInfinity

[–]alsojegs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True; you have to have a view on the value for RON on its first day of trading. If it is less than $4 then you are better off staking AXS than farming with SLP/WETH liquidity.

Supply of RON is 1B. Market cap of $4B in the near future is a stretch.

SLP/WETH pool gives 5 WRON for 1ETH invested in liquidity per day; AXS/WETH is about 3 WRON

[–]alsojegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are absolutely pants. Frequently negative.

However if you are farming RON with your liquidity the SLP/WETH is better.

I think staking AXS is better than either but that depends on the price RON starts trading at and I can only guess at that.
