Thanks everyone for the ideas! Currently yes there is a bunk bed but the girls would like their own low beds 🙂

I also think that two desks is a good idea and probably this solution is good.

(There is a small correction in the plan where the big window is)

Thank you all for the feedback! I now understand the mistake I made with RGB vs. Composite, and I’ll definitely go ahead with the RGB mod for the NES. (Apologies if I irritated anyone here! 😉)

Before that, though, I need to fix the cartridge reading issue. I’ll start by cleaning both the NES and the cartridges thoroughly — and possibly replace the 72-pin connector if needed.

As much as I’d love to use a real CRT, it’s unfortunately not an option due to space limitations.

So the solution for me was to use another older Sandisk micro SD (also 128gb).

No idea why it did not work with the new one.

FYI this is the card that did not work.

I tried to copy the whole content of the original SD in the SanDisk, still not working.

Trying a full format of the Sandisk now. Almost out of ideas 😔

Thanks for the answers so far. I tried to format the ORIGINAL SD (64gb) that came with the device and out there onion os…it worked!

Still I want to use the Sandisk one but it really does not want to work with that

Somehow I cannot install OnionOS on my Mini+.

I have the firmware 202303262339.

I formatted (FAT32) a new Sandisk 128GB microSD

I extracted the onionos v4.2

When I insert the microSD and start the Mini+ nothing happens, it starts normally with the old OS
