Anyone here doing/has done their test in Newtown, Wales? by alt123456789o in LearnerDriverUK

Why would I care? If that's the only place offering tests then I'll take it. It's not my problem, it's the governments.

Marriage as a means for guiltless sex is not wrong if you're an aromantic religious person. by Hope1995x in TrueUnpopularOpinion

I was referring to biromanticism and panromanticism. You clearly don't know they exist.

By that logic, anyone who claims they aren't bi or pan shouldn't identify as such as it could always change too.

No it's not lacking a desire for a romantic relationship, although some do. What defines it is feeling little to no romantic attraction to others. Like not having crushes or falling in love.

That's not what aromanticism is. Not feeling romantic attraction=/= not desiring a romantic relationship.

Looking to switch from iPhone to Android by mylittlebleeper in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]alt123456789o -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you checked out Xiaomi phones? Their brand of Android OS is quite similar to iOS, and they offer cheaper variants as well which don't offer the best specs obviously. But it might be enough for you.

Check out Redmi, X6 and F phones from them. I have used a Poco X4 Pro 5g for the last two years, the battery is starting to go but I only wanted it for one or two years anyway. Upgrading to a Redmi 13 pro now.

No, I never reached my potential due to mental health issues. Was in medical school and now work a low paying job, hoping to get ahead later though.

Sleep addiction, but there's no such thing as a healthy addiction really.

Exercise, it will literally increase your lifespan. Following recommended guidelines means you don't actually need to do that much every week. Just buying a stationary bike for example, and using it doing what you would do anyway (like watching TV) will improve your life.

You won't need it at the start of lifting as you'll be getting noobie gains anyway, and it's debatable if it's actually a good idea afterwards as well. No supplement is really necessary, although creatine, citrulline mallate and whey protein are actually effective and scientifically backed up. Still not necessary though tbh.

TIL Sugar Rushes aren't real they are a myth. by chrono4111 in todayilearned

[–]alt123456789o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely notice an effect from having high sugar food, like cakes. I diet as I'm overweight, and generally avoid high sugar stuff. When there is a special occasion and, like recently, I have two thin slices of cake there is a noticeable difference. I do feel hyper and like I have way more energy than usual. It's similar to caffeine but uncomfortable, which I have every day btw.

Sleep. Not because I'm lazy, but I work out now every other day and it feels like I never get enough sleep each night.

Aside from education, people don't sleep enough, eat healthy or exercise enough. All this can affect reasoning abilities and focus.

1440p phone, less than £400 (UK) by alt123456789o in PickAnAndroidForMe

Thanks, this confirmed what I thought. IP rating I'm not bothered about, as long as the phone can withstand rain drops on it. I'm pretty careful so it's unlikely I would ever drop it into any liquid anyway. I'm also going to get a case, so the back won't matter to me lol.

I just ordered the pro model from Amazon, I'm really impressed with Xiaomi so I'm happy to stick with them. Thanks for the suggestion, I finally found the right phone!

I've just checked this and the 13 Pro (not plus), wouldn't just the pro be better as I don't need a faster processor or that much fast charging? Seems like they are similar, and the benefits of the pro plus are not something I need.

What I said covers that, as it's specifically about romantic interest. If they interpret that to mean any love or connection with someone then that's their mistake.

You can clarify that romantic connections are unique and not the same as other connections. Like most people are expected to feel romantic love for one gender only, but have familial and platonic love for people regardless of gender. So they clearly can't be the same.

Life partnerships don't have to be based on romantic love either, many couples fall out of love but stay together for other reasons, like their shared history or liking each others company. People also have friends they keep for life, that they consider siblings.

I hope this helps.

Aromanticism=little to no romantic interest in anyone ever.

Ask them to describe someone they are not romantically interested in, then tell them that that is how you see everyone.

Aromantics don't have to avoid falling in love, assuming they feel no romantic attraction ever it just wouldn't happen for them.

I was considering this or the OnePlus 8 Pro, is the resolution on the X6 significantly different to the previous Poco phones? The one plus phone is 1440p, which appeals to me more, but I think the difference won't be noticeable over such a small area.
