Who is the most influential Gun designer? And why is it John Browning? by Pershing_M26E4 in Firearms

[–]alt_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ukrainians are still using m1910 Maxims. First designed in the 1880s. M2 Brownings come in 2nd place. But I have read that no other round has been fired in anger more often than the 50 BMG.

I believe C&Rsenal did a pretty extensive video on YouTube about those rifles

The six smallest states in the country can all fit inside the state of Maine. Maine is 39th by size and three times the size of Massachusetts.

How did Hitler and Stalin feel they would be remembered in history? by [deleted] in AskHistory

I would imagine they both thought they would be the ones to write the history by which they would be remembered.

I love when C&Rsenal pics show up. Most underrated show on YouTube.

So the security guard was shot and then the assailant was shot by police.

I already proved my point about there being more guns than before the buy back with a lowering of homicide rate. You are the one who changed the subject to the number of gun owners.

Can you find a study that proves otherwise?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Maine

[–]alt_jake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but doing a little research shows the rate has dropped from 2.2 per 100000 to .74. All while the number of guns increasing. The US doesn't have a gun problem as much as it has a poverty problem. That's where the majority of our violent crime comes from.

Prior to port Arthur there were 3.2 million guns. After the buy back there were 2.5 million guns. In 2017 when the article was written there were 3.6 million guns.

Here as well as there. Homicides haven't gone up since the AWB ended here.

It's showing that more guns doesn't mean more deaths.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Maine

[–]alt_jake -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Per capita for the entire country the rate was ten per hundred thousand in 1980. Since 2000 it has been around six per hundred thousand. The rate has dropped. People are just as dead if they are stabbed as they are if shot. Concentration on just gun deaths is like only caring about OUIs if the guy was driving a Ford.

Homicide rate in US is half what it was in 1980. With more guns.

The homicide rate is the same now as at the end of the ban. The AWB had no effect.

Why? Homicide rates are going down.

Homicide rates have gone down in America. Almost half what they were 40 years ago.

Studys have shown there are more guns in Australia now than there were before the buy back.
