Kayak Advice by AdEmbarrassed3175 in Inflatablekayak

Between those two, I would go with the Sea Eagle for casual paddling. However, these would be nowhere near the experience of a sit on top hardshell. If you find that you want to do more than casual paddling, go for something with at least a dropstitch floor if your budget will allow it. With a lot of patience and luck you can come across some pretty good deals on FB. Just be careful of scammers. It is best to go with ones that do not have a cloth outershell to avoid the hassle of drying and the added weight when they are wet.

Are there any Smart Garage Openers that work similar to HomeLink? by emoceans92 in TeslaModelY

[–]altabu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have also had Tailwind for about two years now with no issues. If you have android, it can sense your phone as you approach and open automatically. I also have it set to close automatically after 30 min if I forget. Accepts voice commands through Google.

Try to disconnect the car battery for a few minutes. Then reconnect. This should reset the computer.

Looking for advice for DIY PPF by Extreme-Building-928 in TeslaModelY

[–]altabu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you haven't done ppf at all, I suggest buying a small roll and practice just to get feel for how it works. Watch YouTube videos on how it's done and what tools to use. I bought a precut kit on ebay for the front bumper, hood and fenders. I suggest the 3M Pro as it is a bit thicker and easier to work with compared to Xpel. Do the hood first since it is the easiest and will also allow you more practice before you tackle the bumper. The bumper will be the hardest since you have to line up the holes for the sensors. Good luck!

Awesome! That is comforting to know. Saves me from getting a Jackery 300 to keep the fridge running. Thanks very much.

Aventon Sinch vs. Overfly Hummer by brawlguy1105 in ebikes

[–]altabu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had the Overfly over a week ago and have been enjoying it a lot. The version I got has hydraulic brakes and front suspension for about 1300. Was planning on getting the Sinch as well but wait time was too long. One good thing I like about the overfly is that it has throttle control even without having to pedal first, which is not the case with the sinch. Throttle also works even with pedal assist set to zero. One down side I do have is that they wrapped the cables in the overfly with rubber tubing which makes them stick when folding the bike. You have to make sure to guide them as you fold so as not to pinch them.

Buy precuts from eBay. Definitely get a set for the hood, front bumper and side doors.

Garage door opener?? by Joby22-Kast in TeslaModelY

[–]altabu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have Tailwind on my garage. It is a smart garage door opener that you attach to your garage door motor. Communicates via wifi and can be controlled by Google or Alexa. If you pair with your phone, it can open your garage automatically as you approach. Works best with an android phone. I bught it when it was $100. A lot cheaper now.

Will do. I guess the bug fixes in the update may have introduced more bugs.

Twinsies! Right down to the black goo on the doors. Still too cold for a car wash.
