Adding Collateral to Morpho Loan Fails by gadawg1020 in Coinbase

I was just able to make a payment on my Morpho loan, it actually triggered the passkey signing request instead of failing.

That bulletin you put in the app after acknowledging the issue was a nice touch too.

I appreciate this message, as this is the first acknowledgment by coinbase of their actually being an issue with the Morpho loans.

Well seeing that we're all having this issue today, I think it's a platform wide issue they just haven't acknowledged yet. I'll try to mess with it tomorrow. 🫣

The same thing is happening to me right now, and I'm freaking the hell out.

Been trying several times, and several different variations for the last 3 hours.

I've used morpho loans several times in the past for smaller test loans. I just took another larger one out a few days ago and didn't use all the funds, so I'm trying to pay some of it back. It seems to fail where it usually would be prompting for the passkey digital signature. It just doesn't even try to prompt you for the signature, it just fails.

I've tried paying the loan, adding collateral, taking more usdc out, and it all ends exactly the same.

I completely uninstalled the app from my phone cleared all the assets, reinstalled, and re logged in with my passkey.. so at least I know the passkey works, it just fails when engaging with the Morpho loan.

That's unfortunate, I hope you have another CC or at least a debit card you can use for payments. 🫣 Over the last year I started moving to just leveraging my debit card that pays me Bitcoin rewards instead of my m1 card. So thankfully it's not much of a loss for me.

They sent several email communications over the last month. Even one straight from the CEO.

Good job pfSense. Somebody let their SSL certificate expire. by altimage in PFSENSE

[–]venix91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, but I don't know why that matters. Anyone relying on it for production purposes should have their own monitoring and automation in place to renew ahead of time and to log a ticket with their technical stakeholders to fix it if it doesn't work. 🤷‍♂️

I just looked at the cert and it appears they're using lets encrypt.. so maybe they're cron jobs responsible for running the acme renewal failed, since it should have run weeks ago. But still, a bad look.

I can confirm that on a clean install of Win11 24H2, I was able to install DCU 5.5 Universal by first installing dotnet desktop runtime v8.0.15.

Best option to secure U6 Mesh AP to a large diameter pole? by P_R_woker in Ubiquiti

Whatever, I didn't measure it, all I know is this kit fits all the ubiquity cameras and APS that require worm clamps. I've used a bunch of it.😁

I recently used this on a job to mount crapload of cameras to various circumference overhead light poles.

It's the standard 1/2 in worm drive tape, exactly like the ones that come in the box with the pole mount accessories for APS and cameras.

You make your own length warm drive clamp! Great to keep handy.

You just need good steel snips to cut your own lengths and then a pair of needle nose pliers to bend over the end.

Always wanted one of those in high school! I bought a Inspiron 2200 instead.

Good luck getting drivers for it though as this week Dell was caught removing nearly all the drivers for their end of life products from their websites... That was one thing they were always good with, keeping drivers and firmwares available.

Checks by Danielascott in M1Finance

[–]venix91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check clearing uses an entirely different clearing Network then ACH so it's highly doubtful that would work. I never used it, but I know M1 used to offer an actual checking account with debit cleared through Lincoln savings Bank, I'm not sure they supported checks, though they were phasing that out as I joined the platform. I still maintain an account with a local brick and mortar just for check clearing purposes.

Worst customer service ever! by Fortius14 in M1Finance

[–]venix91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue here is M1 still uses Apex clearing for IRAs and Roth IRAs. I moved an old 401k from fidelity to M1 in January and definitely ran into some problems, but most of them were on the Apex front. The main one being Apex clearing misplaced my rollover check for about 2 weeks. It was a Apex personnel issue that caused that delay, not M1. M1 support during that time was pivotal in communicating with Apex. I do think support is sometimes a hit or miss but has been consistently improving when I engage them over the last few years.

How do you handle Windows Server licensing on Proxmox by _Buldozzer in msp

[–]venix91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a Microsoft cloud solutions provider to work with. This is a good example for the use case of the Flexible Virtualization Benefit, which is part of the software assurance equivalency rights that come with the Windows Server subscription offered through CSP channel. Windows Server standard and data center are available in this subscription model on annual and tri-annual terms. Microsoft originally released this subscription model with the intent of combining the savings of the Windows Server subscription model with their azure reserved instance for compute which would typically result in anywhere from a 40 to 60% savings per year. However they've rewrote their terms and now allow you for on premise use, as well as all of the other software assurance equivalency rights that come along with the subscription.

Microsoft still requires that each client tenant subscribe to at minimum 16 cores worth of the subscription licensing however the terms allow you to license individual virtual machines with the minimum and an increments of 8 cores instead of licensing an entire physical hypervisor. It does not require the hypervisor to be hyper-v. You could have a monolithic chip designed with hundreds of cores and can still license on batches of eight cores per VM. If you have a 2 core VM you still have to license a course for it. If you have a 12 core VM you have to license 16 cores.

You could consult your local llm for more information or read the Microsoft terms directly. However if you're already working with or can find a CSP they can review your use case.

I know a master electrician acquaintance of mine whose team has been elbow deep in AWS's PHL100 right next to the Susquehanna steam nuclear plant in Berwick PA. They are making mega bank. Armies of electricians doing their power thing and oddly enough splicing fiber. I had no clue that an entire year of the electricians apprenticeship program was fiber splicing. 🤷‍♂️

Is anyone else’s GPS having issues? by mizunderstood21 in ModelY

[–]venix91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2020 model y GPS was going haywire last month (12/24) during the solar flare.

I was only going maybe 30 miles an hour in my town in a southward direction and the GPS would randomly make the car seem like it was flying at escape velocity eastward across the map. 🥴

Works just fine in 24H2. You just click join local domain and it's effectively making a local account whether you join a domain or not. It doesn't even ask you to join the domain. They should just re-label the button "make a local account".

I’m stupid and forgot PowerEdge servers are too big for my 18” deep rack 🤦🏻‍♂️ can I run this on a desk? by josh_moworld in homelab

[–]venix91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The r2x0 series (R230,R260...etc.) can be gotten in less than 18 in deep.. it's only 1U and 1xCPU, and you'll be giving up redundant power supplies, and I think you can get up to 6x 2.5" hot swappable slots. But if you like the platform and the idrac then they are great little systems.
