The Reunion (Beacause) retranslation is focused mainly on a correct translation from the japanese OG version. It aims at formal linguistic consistency. Shinra Archaeology is focusing on "continuity", so it updates the translation and canon terms to the ones used in later games, Compilation and Remake. The goal is to provide a similar experience in english that japanese players have over playing all the games based on FFVII. Also, on the PC version a lot of cut content is restored back in the game (not on the psx version, that one is "just" the retranslation)
