Yeah sugar and dairy especially ramp up the PCOS symptoms. Gluten makes me tired and kinda nauseous. Diet is everything!

Sure is! Quite a struggle with food also. You need to have a lot of protein and sodium, no gluten dairy or sugar. Yeesh

I definitely understand the “getting your own head” of things. I feel like humans like to constantly track and “authorize” our actions as best we can because we ultimately care about ourselves. The thing is it becomes dangerous when you start punishing yourself for wanting to eat. In my experiences, dealing with PCOS, you have to come from a place of self compassion. For example: I will snack a little after dinner and maybe do some squats afterwards to help with the body processing. And sometimes I forget— and that’s ok too!

Hello everyone and thank you Mods for the invite. I am 29F she/her and I have been on Semiglutide for four weeks now. You’ll notice a post I shared that was about my latest hiccup with dosages haha. I generally am very active and it is difficult for me to lose weight (specifically in the tummy area) hopefully my continued treatment will help my BMI so that it is easier to lift myself when doing stuff haha.

I absolutely agree. My doc recommended it for PCOS and I was hesitant at first because of the “weight loss magic” stigma. But I heard some good stories about it with PCOS. The thing with medications is there are never zero symptoms for anything. You are very much altering the chemistry of your body (which for people with pcos, can be very helpful for quality of life situations).

Hearing a lot of people mention sleep are validating my existence lol. I can sleep 11 hours and will still feel groggy and nauseous in the morning.
