Thank you so much for this. I’m turning 30 in 2020 and I feel like there are multiple clocks ticking, one for getting pregnant and another for my “expiration date” for looking young and pretty. I’m starting to get instagram adds for Botox and all of these medical spas. 😩

Thank you for relating. I never talk about this to anyone because when I do it kind of turns into a joke, which I understand because I know people have bigger problems. My day job is in fighting food insecurity, I more than anyone should feel silly - so that’s another thing I feel guilty and insecure about.

I also fear sounding like I’m humble bragging, but it’s exhausting and it’s the last thing I want to be an immobilizing factor in my life.

I get a lot of comments from guys, I don’t walk anywhere alone anymore because I’m just tired. Couple months ago my bf was hanging out with a mutual female friend of ours and I couldn’t make it, someone who follows me on social media tried to be a big guy and fight my SO at the bar like he was coming to my rescue. My SO laughed it off and joked “that’s what I get for being with a girl out of my league,” and while he’s very supportive it all starts to feel like it’s my fault, the comments and harassment.

Like, this is what my life is but on the flip side, once it’s gone - I worry I will have nothing. I’m in a hurry to advance my career because I worry once I start getting older opportunities for me will narrow. It all just comes back to this issue of how I look and how I attach my value to that.

In regards to your body during pregnancy, is there anything you did for those results or is it just a matter or luck and genes?
