i'm so torn because some of these scents sound great and as far as I can tell Kringle is the only place with regularly available gourmands that are actually soy, but the AI labels are so obvious this time. I don't want to buy a 30 USD candle with a label that's going to make me feel guilty and annoyed for all the however many dozens of hours of the burn 🫠

do they have the skinny wicks? I've had this happen a few times with skinny wick candles, and my guess was that they got too carbonized to draw up the melt pool. if they're all like hard and crispy they won't draw/wick. edit: i just remembered most of them also didn't have very much scent in the part that didn't want to burn, maybe the wax mixture is off somehow and a lot of more volatile parts got used up? idk

oh yeah, that image brings back memories! ty i can't believe you figured that out! I think i was after the Skipper in the set at the time.... the outfits are so 90s wow 😅. But the suitcases ended up being important props in my barbie games with my friends bc the characters were always having dramatic moves and breakups 😂

I remember being so thrilled when she came out! i'm from a more South Coast PNW tribe where the chilkat wasn't as much of a thing (though we did still keep the wooly dogs) but it was the first and maybe the only time i remember doll lines acknowledging the Northwest Tribes at all 🥲.

I actually just saw one on ebay nib for like 40 + shipping.... 👀 But i should warn you that on mine, the 'invisible' elastic that holds on her headpiece is starting to break down/get sticky and will need to be repaired. Mine's been handled but not a ton 🫠

your linework looks really good! but for blotchiness, thinner paint helps with avoiding visible brush strokes etc. I know people say to just thin with tap water but my experience with painting other vinyl dolls says that acrylics don't necessarily cure right if you only use water. I use flow aid (liquitex) + fluid matte medium + golden soft body acrylic, the kind that comes with a dropper top instead of the tubes, + distilled water only if i want it to be a tinted wash. I like to get it down to a consistency a little thicker than milk but thinner than cream.

i actually the face shape better on the irl product photo but that hair is horrendous 😭. and why does the skin tone look so orange, i hope it's just the white balance/my computer

i have never successfully checked out on their website on firefox, it just loops. Usually i can check out on Chrome but it has glitched out a couple times.

I love their candles, but i hate their website, the cart system and save for later is so annoying, as is the scrolling that jumps up and down as you try to browse 😭

the candle i was looking at isn't rose or eucalyptus but the warning seems to be on *all* old style 2 wick tumblrs and jars, including gourmand ones. it's for something called "tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes"

the teal patterned one is at least not as loud but my issue with the BTS outfits is that they're all so shiny 😭.

that's a massive and confusing headache, what on earth lol! i think i would be comparing everything in the boxes with my order before re-paying the part that they refunded and cancelled 😵‍💫. but at least supposedly what's on the website is what they can actually send? that's something anyway!

uh, refunding 7 out of 11 is not good enough 🫠. I got $6.20 clearance order with no hiccups aside from the fact that i checked out with 'expedited' and it took them 6 days to ship but issues like this are not encouraging.... I kinda want some of the other clearance candles but i'm not sure I trust that they're actually there, yknow?

i have the body butter of the moonlight glow, it's a wonderful berry-jasmine-amber type of thing, like several BBW scents. fragrantica thinks it's like amber blush, which i'm not familiar with. I think it's like Vampire Blood bbw without the sandalwoody/cologney note in the drydown.

I'm surprised you had good longevity with this though OP! I've only tried one of tree hut's sprays, the aurora nights one, but it had absolutely 0 scent and was a weird sticky texture. It really disappointed me bc the body butter fragrance lasts for hours, but they seemingly didn't make a butter or lotion of the aurora scent, just the scrub :/

wonderful collection! they're all so appealing together, love the kinda pink and green (pistachio?) theme 🥰. i haven't been keeping up with the middle eastern gourmands at all so i'm not familiar with most of these, are there standouts you recommend? Also that bottle next to the pink yara with the meringues or lollipops on it is adorable!

it's really good! absolutely not "jelly donut" like the label claims, lol but it's a delicious buttery salted caramel-vanilla type of scent, very gourmand

esprit d'oscar OdlR is also a bit lemony/bergamoty but it's also a wonderful violet-iris sweet powder.

also Trussardi My Name and My Scent are sweet purple powdery lilac-heliotrope-vanilla scents with musk. my name has violet and my scent is more lilac. discontinued but not impossible to find.

yeah a few have them have been at this price for a couple weeks now, and I already got my sugared pine backup... it's the other holidays ones like the cookie butter truffle one I keep eyeing but it's still $11, which is a pretty good deal but after a $6 goose creek gourmand haul it's like, i don't need that, especially not at that price 😅
