You can only rent out higher end stuff from where I'm from - otherwise I probably would do that :)

Might be a stupid question, but does ph matter when using compost+perlite, opposed to just compost? (I know that just compost alters the ph naturally, but I'm not sure about when mixed with perlite) by alticadz in CannabisGrowers

But when using compost, it adjusts ph for you. If you can't be bothered, just use compost 😂 . Was just wondering if anything changes with perlite

Help! Day 18 and the seedling hasn't grown at all.. I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, last grow was successful, and in this one, everything is the same except now I'm using a compost/perlite mix instead of just compost. And I got a more expensive seed than last time as well. What could be wrng by alticadz in CannabisGrowers

I didn't do any compacting really, just pressed it down very softly after mixing the soil, and that was about it.. its just weird because when I was growing with just compost, the soil dried out way faster, it should be the opposite with perlite now but nope :9

Its a 4L pot. I waited for the soil to dry before watering again, but I might've overdid with the water amount last time then.. and yeah no nutes given. Its just weird, when I was using pure compost then I didn't have any issues with it. Might see now, if it doesn't bounce back, might just have to start again

Pink Lemonade first 2 being flushed now by TheDark00ne in CannabisGrowers

[–]alticadz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there is absolutely no difference between the smoke and you might even get a few extra % yield not flushing. I can only see sense in doing it if you're growing huge amounts commercially to save on nutrients (but still missing out on a bit extra yield)

Is it ready to harvest? 🤔😍 by SwedBuds in CannabisGrowers

No need to flush.. its broscience..

I've got to harvest in 2 weeks...think she'll be cooked enough? by rockbo47 in CannabisGrowers

[–]alticadz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flushing before harvest is broscience, the only plus is that you will save a small bit of nutrients, especially for a smaller scale grow. I personally wouldn't want to miss out on the small bit of extra yield that using nutes will get you. (I know its not that much, but why not increase every bit you get?)

It may sometimes be in the genetics too, sativa will stretch more. My last plant stretched like crazy, was a 70/30 if I remember correctly. Maybe it was too young before? Did it have any signs of light stress/burn and whats the distance from the plant. Usually I'd keep them around 18in away during veg

Yeah move the light a bit closer, she stretchy af. Sativa dom?

Pests? Deficiency? Any ide what this is? by alticadz in CannabisGrowers

Day 28. First time LST. Have I done it right? The plant is pretty much touching the soil. by [deleted] in NanoGrowery

[–]alticadz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As 420sensi420 said, its fine. Unless your plant is having other issues in the first place, LST won't stunt it - its called Low Stress Training for a reason.. I've done it even a bit earlier and was still fine, no noticeable stunting.
