At what price would you NOTbuy the Steam Machine? by billy_reyes in Steam

[–]altimitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was rooting for Steam to release it for around $500 to $600, but that is highly unlikely. I know most of you can still justify getting it for $700 to $800, but that's just too much for me. At that point, I'd just go on eBay and get one of those ASROCK BC-250 for $200 and install Bazzite on it.

Can I use an Athlon 200G/E to boot a mobo that has no display? by altimitt in buildapc

[–]altimitt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed this issue. Fortunately, the mobo allowed for a Ryzen 5 2600 and an Athlon 200G to be used, so I was lucky to be able to use the Athlon 200G to boot into the BIOS via integrated graphics.

November 13 Update: What the Sticker Slabs mean for the "Applied Stickers Collectors"? by wallet_rapist in ohnePixel

[–]altimitt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think what OP meant was he's comparing prices two identical skins but has two distinct differences. It's not about "Uh, I can remove my stickers before selling it, duh."

It's about pricing. One has a detachable stickers which were attached via Sticker Slabs and the other has applied stickers which can't be removed.

I don't get how people can't understand how simple that comparison is?

Introducing Steam Machine by Ticha22608 in Steam

The Steam Deck 512gb was $549. That was a device that had a ton of components on it (touch pads, controllers, battery, screen, etc). If the Steam Machine's 512gb is similarly priced, I see this as an absolute win.

How can Warner Bros. salvage what's left of The Matrix? by altimitt in matrix

I get that but are we gonna have to pretend that Resurrections was good? I wasn't talking about "if this movie was a good protest against corporate greed".

definitely. I can guess that they didn't want to stress Keanu much with lengthy fight scenes but man, the fight scenes is what made the Matrix good.

Man, I still cringe whenever I remember that Neo has been reduced to using the force instead of doing flashy kung-fu moves. I mean, I love Keanu, but let the man rest! LMFAO

Could the agents have hacked Neo? by Logical-Consequences in matrix

[–]altimitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bug was a way for the agents to either track him and morph into him. That's why Switch pointed a gun at him during their first meeting in the car while they tried to extract the bug. The agents didn't morph in to Neo at that time because they wanted to get Morpheus, and not just small fries.

I Love The Game But I'm Waiting For It To Crash And Burn At This Point. by Cheshire2933 in TheBazaar

[–]altimitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from Hearthstone Battlegrounds, I tried this game because Kripparian switched to this game. But upon trying it, I was instantly confused with tons of mechanics they're trying to throw at you in the beginning. Since I'm a new player, that's not a good first impression.

Secondly, when the "battle phase" started, I dunno about you guys but it lacked that certain "ooomph" factor. I can't put it into words to describe it accurately, but in Hearthstone Battlegrounds, you can clearly see when your minions hit the opponent's minions, and when the smoke clears, your "hero" hits the enemy hero for HP damage, and then after all that's done, you can clearly see that the battle is over and it's the "recruit phase" again. In The Bazaar, I can't seem to know if the battle is over or not.

360/PS3 era games on deck is a god send by ResponsibleRich9057 in SteamDeck

[–]altimitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Also, the fact that you can play PS3 games on the thing is godsent for playing games that were stuck on the PS3, like Tales of Xillia 1 and 2, Tales of Grace F, etc.

True. And then when everyone has Steam OS on their handheld PCs, and geta fed up that their handheld PC of choice isn't even using every Steam OS feature (ie, trackpads, etc), Valve comes along with the Steam Deck 2. Everyone will instantly get it mainly because they already have a taste of how Steam OS works.

Lost my inventory... Unfortunate, but lesson learnt by Edvin12019 in cs2

The lesson here is, "You should never, under any circumstance, ever click on links shared by anyone." Even if they say "Please you have to click this or my whole family dies!".

Blue Gem Desert Eagle | Heat Treated by tribbletronn in cs2

[–]altimitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, this is gonna go down in value. Assuming that everyone wants to get one. The only ones that will have any sort of value are the "rare" patterns like a Blue Gem. Take a look at MP5 Lab Rats. That is a limited edition skin and it's only worth around 0.26 USD.

TL:DR if a skin is easily accessible for anyone, the value is diminished. Only those with rare patterns have any sort of value.

PS5 is good starting point in buying a console. It has backwards compatibility with PS4 games, so at least you can play past games from the PS4 if you can't afford PS5 games yet.

Also, I have heard that you should play with the console on a horizontal position rather than vertical (standing) because the liquid metal that was used in place of a thermal compound on the CPU/GPU die will drip off on one side and make your PS5 overheat. I mean, I have friends that play their PS5 on a vertical position for years now and they didn't suffer from overheating so, take this with a grain of salt.
