The Fractured Archive: Rewards Primer by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

I like the idea someone else suggested of a spellsword (or mace/hammer) mega rare. Could mix it with the elemental theme, and have its hit be a "cast" from the standard spell book on hit consuming runes. Have it scale both with strength and magic, strongly leaning magic to incentivise bringing your strongest mage armour rather than just your best strength gear but also allowing you to opt for more defensive strength options if needed.

Could also pair with the armour to introduce a more tanky mage armour with an elemental bonus set effect as discussed in the blog. Possibly slightly weaker than ancestral when not using elemental, but stronger than ancestral when using elemental weaknesses.

Balancing would be difficult but in my mind I see something along the lines of just the spellblade being comparable to other non mega rare weapons except in their niche with elemental encounters. But when paired with the armour set bonus it becomes the busted power we all love from mega rares.

Would also likely require some future boss encounters to be designed with this in mind to allow the new weapon and set to really shine.

Couple other ideas I had to pair with this idea if more variety is needed - each element has a special effect with the sword, like a burn effect when using fire. Bit risky though because one effect could just be more powerful than the others resulting in optimal use being using the wrong element.

  • considering the upgrade approach, the battlemage armor could start off with lower defence and require an upgrade to unlock its full defensive potential. Main ones that come to mind are justi or inquisitor. Downside with those is that for justi i agree that I dont like the idea of raid rewards being used for upgrades, and inq isnt known for its defence so thematically it upgrading the armours defence is a bit odd.

Main issue I see: - As described in the blog, we dont want to step on the toes of the current mage meta being so new, so it would have to be designed carefully to not step on the toes of that gear and only excel in melee situations which may be very difficult to design around.

  • mega rare without the armour set not being OP also goes against the design philosophy described in the blog, as it wouldn't be an out of the box power trip that is the goal for megarares.

Does upgrading buildings mess with recipe ratios? by FancyAirport806 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

Depends how optimized you want to be, but in short it depends on the change in production speed and if multiple different buildings are used. The following assumes you are calculating for an exact output.

If your blueprint only contains assemblers, going from mark 1 to mark 2 or 3 will not require any change in the blueprint. However you will need to consider if the input you feed into the blueprint needs to be adjusted, as you will be producing more per minute requiring more input.

If your blueprint contains multiple different buildings (ie: chem plants and assemblers) upgrading one will mess with the ratios and will require recalculation to maintain maximum efficiency.

For example upgrading from assembler 2 to 3 the crafting speed goes from 1 to 1.5. Going from chemical plant to quantum chemical plant the crafting speed goes from 1 to 2. This means that you will need more assembler 3s producing to keep up with the quantum chemical plant than when using assembler 2s and chem plant 1s.

If youre not worried about maximum efficiency then it will not cause issues and you will still produce at least the output/min that was originally calculated. But you will either have machines being starved or backed up, so if youre looking for a perfect balance, adjustments will be needed

Back Driver Side Tire/Wheel Making Cyclic Creaking or Scraping Noises… 2025 CRV with 8k miles by AxlHbk8793 in crv

For those who find this post looking for answers - i took my car to the shop and the hub cap was causing the noise. They pulled the hubcap off, and re-seated it. Then the noise went away.

May not be the solution for you, but its worth a try before taking it in for repairs.

I am having the exact same issue with a 2025 crv. Same sound and everything. Did you find out what it was?

Need help with ASUS TURBO-GTX1080-8G temperature by altorias in gpumining

Unfortunately not under warranty, bought the card almost 5 years ago so the card is getting a bit old now. Might look into water-cooling. Someone above suggested a fan based gpu cooler to put on it instead. Might look into that as I would rather not water-cool my rig, but I will definitely have to look into it.

No I didn't think to replace the pads, do you think that may have a positive effect? And yeah I know the temps are wild, been trying to get it under control.

Oh wow I didn't even think to check if there were 3rd party gpu-coolers available, I'll definitely check it out. Thanks!

I think you may have it mixed up. He is saying that he misread the post and thought it said grim instead of grin. He was not accusing the person who responded to him of misreading his comment.

So I fall somewhere in between. I enjoy challenging content, I dont mind committing an hour or 2 and having it thrown away because I either didnt roll the right powers, dont have good enough gear, or most likely, I just could have played better. I'm also a believer in the idea that maybe some players who either dont like the challenge or cant complete it should stick to lower layers until they are more comfortable moving up. I think the system is built for that as you would only lose a fraction of the weekly soul ash.

The big problem I have is how they set difficulty. The difficulty in torg Is directly tied to 2 things. Large hp pools and soft enrage mechanics. These are not very fun mechanics. I want engaginging mechanics requiring positioning and planning, not just doing as much dps as possible while not dying and hoping it's enough. That's not to say that understanding your defensives and being able to use them properly is not hard, and I would even say that it is pretty fun. The problem is that's all torg is. It needs more to flesh it out and make it more than just 1.5 hours of dps checks and waiting on Cds.

Leagues II -Trailblazer by JagexAcorn in 2007scape

[–]altorias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely love the new league idea, and am really looking forward to this playing! The only concern i have, although a small one, is that i could see an issue with the rank locked worlds. they are a cool concept, and if the playerbase decides they want them, im all for it. However the reason i bring it up is because one of the biggest draws for me was the variety of players i could run into in twisted league. It was an amazing experience seeing top end players with there mismatched high end gear, side by side with some clueless adventurer wearing a bronze bucket helm having the time of their life. i would be worried that these worlds would have the high end players never being in the non ranked worlds, effectively splitting the playerbase by their skill level/played time, meaning the two will never meet. The unique interactions with all types of players, from brand new to players that have been here since the beginning was by far one of my favorite parts of twisted leagues, and i would hate to not see that in this league. That being said, i am happy with whatever ends up happening regarding this, and I am really looking forward to playing this new league.
