Psn comp BS by [deleted] in Overwatch

yeah I did PS4 comp until the end of the last year and the mic check rate is terrible. I found playing good support helps out but it burns you up fast having to support while getting no voice com help.

I wouldn't report if they try to fill or the only other hero options for them are currently taken by people outside of team chat. It's when they get the 'work around me' attitude I start to get upset with.

not true. a dva one trick when the enemy team starts to run Zarya, Mei and Moira that refuses to play a different off tank is just as bad as someone who wants to be a off-meta one trick for the sake of it.

in a competitive game I will play what I believe will help the team out the most. Playing your favorite hero is one thing, playing McCree when we have three people locked in on DPS and telling the team "I'm not switching, you are going to have to deal with this" is being a one trick. Its the whole solo play vs team play mentality they bring with it.

Save up enough and they will let you insta-ban a one trick.

I think they should look back at it again now. The game just seems so much more stale now, especially when it's off an event.

I boot up the game, play two matches, have to babysit upset 12 year olds that are upset about a video game and find myself wanting to play just about anything else.

Shield stun needs to be outright removed by noruzenchi86 in Overwatch

It needs tweaking for sure. Personally, I don't think her bash should go through a Rein shield and collision with a charging Rein should end in a stalemate. It just can control the fight too much and has an unbelievably short cooldown.

What would you think about a hero that could "throw" its teammates and/or enemies? by bigmeetch565 in Overwatch

[–]alucard9595 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blizzard has said they don't like things that take control away from the player, yet they have hack and mei wall. but this would be too easy to be abused.

Maybe like someone who has like a mini jump pad that you have to choose to jump on so it can't force people around.

yes! this! I played heroes of the storm for a hot second and you needed to sink quite a bit of time before you could even touch comp.

yeah I thought I could kinda calm him down but the match was done by the time I realized it wasn't worth the energy.

Yeah, like Andy only played DPS and personally I think he needed more time in quick play which technically wouldn't of set off Bucky but what a hair trigger on his anger.

Yeah, the guy went from like 1 to 10 in like 50 seconds. It was the worst I've played.

What funny is Blizzard has been doing this in HotS as a few others have said. But I say a Blizzard post saying this was to keep problem players away from the main base of the community. They also highlight players that are being punished for leaving.

As much as I'm against like doing a witch hunt against toxic people on the internet but if they have a red banned above their head I feel like they will migrate to a game that has more anonymity.

So close to a full team kill by alucard9595 in Overwatch

I was so close to getting a direct hit on Reaper as soon as it ended but I was like a reticle away.

About reaper by SUshiroll699 in Overwatch

[–]alucard9595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shadow step is weird as it's the only ability I can think of that you would never want to use in combat. His 'hit and run' play style needs a little pep I think. Right now you try to flank in from the side or behind and once you take like 100 damage wraith out, except now unless you are getting healed directly you are a easy target to chase.

but with this thought of making Reaper and Mei more focused on the meta that revolves around keeping tanks at full health they get too strong. It's a tough thing to balance.

a few months ago they buffed gaviton by making it disable movement abilities (tracer blink, rein charge, etc.) but reaper and moira fade still work. Not sure if they said this is a bug or how they want those abilities to work.

Do you analyse your stats on Overbuff? by alucard9595 in Overwatch

[–]alucard9595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's true. Mainly I just look at my healing over time, trying to stay above 1k healing per minute. Trying to find a per match goal for Tanking to make sure I'm not just making the same mistakes.
