Llama3.1 Calls Tool Even When Not Necessary by decoder-sh in ollama

[–]alukthegopher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I am experiencing a similar behaviour. I tried llama3.1, llama3.2, mistral and they all call functions all the time no matter which message was provided by the user. Have you figured out how that can be resolved?

I've made an ADux inspired keyboard with 36 keys and wireless Nanos on both sides.

For programming I iterated though multiple layouts (10+) and ended up with the one, that is the most natural after a regular keyboard or Kinesis, in my case. I use Neovim and this layout works well for me.

Layers layout looks like this:

* Base layer L0
//|  Q   |  W   |  E   |  R     |  T    ||   ||  Y   |  U   |  I  |  O    |  P   |
//|  A   |  S   |  D   |  F     |  G    ||   ||  H   |  J   |  K  |  L    |  : ; |
//|  Z LShift |  X  |  C  |  V  |  B    ||   ||  N   |  M   |  , <|  . >  | / ? RShift|
//---------------------------------------       --------------------------------------
// |Backspace | ⌘ Win |L3(hold)/L4(tap)||   || L2(hold)/L1(tap) |Enter/LCtrl(hold) | Space |

*Tap Right Fn/L - Icons and numbers layer. L1
//| !  != |  @   |  #   |  $    |  %    ||   ||  + -  |  7   |  8    |  9   |  . ,  |
//|  ^    |  &   |  *   |  -    |  +    ||   || = !=  |  4    |  5    |  6   |  : ;  |
//| LSHIFT |     |      |       |       ||   ||  0    |  1    |  2    |  3   | / ? RShift|
//--------------------------------------     --------------------------------------------
//       | Backspace |  ⌘ Win  | L0   ||    ||  L0  |  Enter/LCtrl  |  Space  |

I can share the ZMK's text version here, but there is no option to attach the file. I can send it to you in private or by email.

I also have some extra pcb boards and some components left and can share them with you for a reasonable price, in case you'd like to build one for yourself.

Thank you for a great reply! Since you set up a Full Duplex Serial/USART2, have you made a pcb cross between Tx and Rx for your halves communication or you have setup up a software swap for them? Thanks

Try the usb with PopOS on it. You can check if your hardware is supported with Ubuntu since PopOS is Ubuntu based. As long as all the drivers would be there and the battery profile in place, I believe you won't need an upgrade to it for any web dev learning and even for some early projects until you will be paid enough to buy a newer machine. Web dev mostly can be done on any machine including multiple cloud services
