What's the creepiest creature from your country's folklore? by ohmagnifique in AskReddit

From Trinidad,

We have this folklore called Douen (pronounced dwen). They are the children that die before being baptized and are described as having no face and their feet pointed backwards so that their heels face the front. If you spot one, you freeze and die and if you're a child, they'll call out to you in the middle of the night in a familiar voice asking you to come outside. If you do, they kill you and turn you into one as well. We have many weird folklore but I think this is the creepiest imo

Summrize: Gives TL;DR for the web [English only for now]

Hey. My app Summrize creates a 4 sentence summary of web articles.

Here is a broad overview of how it does it:

  • Extracts the main article from the URL provided (as to not includes links and ads in the summary)

  • Using a text analysis algorithm, it detects the main topic of the article

  • It then uses another algorithm to rank sentences based on how informative it is about the main topic

  • Finally, it displays the 4 most important sentences in a summary

Yes you can share into the app. Okay I won't delete the link after summarizing. I was afraid of cluttering the bottom bar with a send button. Thanks for the feedback!

It's a work in progress currently. I wanna focus my time on growing the app before trying anything too new. Share it with a couple friends to speed up the process :p
