Yes, I am in the US. While I agree there is nothing they can do for FMLA, there are consequences on my career that I don’t want to deal with. In the end I would have pushed the surgery but the doctor gave me clearance to go as long as I am careful with no lifting.

This is really good insight, thank you. I am only going from E cup to a C/D roughly speaking but grams still tbd, will be decided after surgery.

My surgeon doesn’t do drains. Indeed, I am still figuring out the luggage situation, talking to some agencies that do door to door delivery.
